Job Description:

Carat is the world’s first media agency and privileged to work with some of the most storied and innovative brands in the world. Most recently named a leader amongst global media agencies by Forrester, Carat is consistently ranked the #1 media agency in the world. With over 12,000 experts in over 100 countries Carat delivers an unparalleled capability to unlock real human understanding and connect people and brands through powerful and engaging media experiences.

We’re looking for a Digital Manager with deep Search expertise and exceptional client management skills to join our high‑performing team.

This is a role for someone who thrives in sophisticated digital environments, brings confidence to every conversation, and can partner with an experienced client as a true strategic advisor - not just an executor.

You’ll be the go‑to expert for all things Search - SEM, SEO, performance optimisation, measurement, and the evolving search landscape.

What you will be doing:

  • Planning and strategy for performance media for our largest VIC client; search is the essence of the role, but there’s potential to get across social, programmatic, and other digital channels

  • Own the Search strategy and performance across SEM and SEO channels

  • Provide expert guidance on optimisation, measurement, attribution, and platform best practice

  • Ensure Search integrates seamlessly with broader digital and offline media plans

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with a sophisticated client team

  • Coach and develop junior talent to build strong Search and digital craft capability

What you will bring:

  • Deep expertise in Search (SEM essential; SEO highly valued)

  • Strong understanding of digital media planning and the broader digital ecosystem

  • Ability and want to build a culture of continuous testing, learning, and refinement to improve campaign efficiency and effectiveness. Can easily collaborate with different teams and celebrate collective achievements

  • Confidence and presence in client conversations—able to challenge, advise, and lead

  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and problem‑solving skills

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality

What’s in it for you:

  • Real flexibility to work when and where you feel most productive with our ‘Be the Best You’ policy which includes a $250 contribution to your home office set up

  • The opportunity to give back with dedicated volunteer leave and our whole-company event, One Day for Change

  • 5 weeks annual leave after 2 years of service and 3 whole company Wellness days off per year for you to switch off and take your day, your way

  • Career Development and Learning & Development opportunities, including access to our global online dentsu University

Become a champion for meaningful progress:

Our diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their whole selves to work and be proud of doing so. For us, this is the foundation for great innovation which, in turn, generates better outcomes for our people, partners and communities. This is why we encourage applications from people with disabilities, and of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds and cultures. If you want to belong to a one global network where opportunities are limitless – we look forward to welcoming you.
