About the Role:

PHD EMEA, part of Omnicom Media, are looking for a Performance Director to join our central Digital Activation Hub (DAH) team. We are delighted to be working with Sky Showtime on delivering their leading content to multiple markets across the EMEA region.

Performance campaigns represent a significant investment area for our client and are critical to their business growth and success. In this role, you will lead the strategic direction, operational excellence, and biddable output of the Hub, ensuring that digital media delivers measurable business impact and contributes to broader marketing effectiveness.

You will manage a small team of craft specialists directly, while also shaping the wider performance capability agenda across London and nearshore teams. Acting as the right hand partner to the Business Director, you will play a central role in running the team day to day, with the confidence and credibility to represent the hub at senior level and deputise for the Activation Director whenever required.

As the senior performance voice for the client, you will lead consultancy around budget sufficiency, subscriber growth targets, and performance investment strategy across annual and quarterly cycles. You will be expected to bring a strong analytical mindset, actively incorporating outputs from modelling approaches such as MMM and MTA into flighted and always on strategic planning, ensuring performance strategy is grounded in evidence and aligned to commercial outcomes.


About You:

  • Proven track record in leading performance media strategy and delivery across multiple markets and languages, with clear evidence of driving measurable marketing and business outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in biddable channels (Programmatic and/or Paid Social), with strong understanding of how performance activity connects to broader media strategy and full funnel planning.
  • Experience shaping performance investment strategy, including budget planning, growth forecasting, audience sizing, and opportunity identification.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with confidence interpreting outputs from modelling approaches such as MMM, incrementality studies, attribution, or other advanced measurement frameworks, and translating them into planning and optimisation decisions.
  • Experience consulting with clients on data, technology, measurement, or operational capability, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide marketing evolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through-the-line thinking, connecting acquisition, brand, and awareness activity into a coherent performance framework.
  • Team leadership experience, including managing specialists, developing talent though culture & training initiatives, and driving progression through structured development plans and capability programmes.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise across multiple workstreams, markets, and stakeholders in a complex international structure. Ability to navigate different client priorities and cultural contexts.
  • Proactive, solutions oriented self starter who is comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and listening skills, with the ability to translate complex performance topics into clear commercial narratives. Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and speaking in large forums.
  • Additional European languages are beneficial but not essential.

Flexible Working

We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two working remotely), to ensure that we meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in-person connections with the flexibility of remote working.  Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
