WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an experienced, solution-oriented HR professional to support our Nike teammates in the UK and Ireland, based in our London office. 

This role is key in supporting the overall Nike teammate experience in the region.  It provides expertise and delivers solutions on a range of complex HR topics and provides exceptional HR services across both Nike retail stores and corporate teams, while partnering with key stakeholders across business teams, HR and our European Headquarters.

The candidate needs to be a proactive problem solver, with the ability to develop solutions that are scalable and meet the needs of the organization.  They will be able to establish great stakeholder relationships, and leverage their deep HR expertise to elevate the teammate experience while seeking opportunities to continuously improve.    

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in the Nike UK team, while leveraging strong partnerships and expertise from our global and European HQ teams.  You will be part of an organization with a strong, people-oriented culture, and will be involved in a significant HR transformation as Nike evolves its HR operating model to leverage scale and elevate our impact.

On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for resolving a broad range of HR issues in partnership with business stakeholders and Nike HR Centre’s of Expertise.  You will provide expert consultative support & coaching across a full range of HR processes, including employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management & coaching, training delivery, DEI, and legal & regulatory issues.

You will work with technology (Service Now and Workday)  to manage cases, and ensure that we can leverage our systems to provide insights into our teammate population. 

At times you will be in the lead to deliver high impact HR projects in the region, and you will also leverage your knowledge and regional insights to proactively identify opportunities to drive operational efficiencies and best practices.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Nike is a highly collaborative environment and you will be part of a team of HR professionals and business stakeholders.  You will report to the People Solutions Director for the region, and you will coach and consult with people managers across the UK & Ireland organization (corporate and store based teams).  You will also partner with our European HQ People Solutions organization and Centers of Expertise to implement programs, ensure local requirements are captured, and leverage expertise. You will also partner with your People Solutions Consulting colleagues in other regions in order to collaborate, share learnings and best practices.  You will manage key business stakeholder relationships across retail and Corporate in the region, to ensure the needs of our teammates and our business priorities are represented.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Demonstrable high volume case management HR experience

  • Ideally experience of working in a dynamic retail environment

  • Understanding and experience of implementing a broad range of HR processes, policies and practices

  • Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and key employment law principles

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and balance detail with speed.

  • Experience in establishing effective relationships across functions.  Known for being a strong collaborator

  • Experience with Service Now and Workday as a HR system would be advantageous
