At CoMind, we are developing a non-invasive neuromonitoring technology that will result in a new era of clinical brain monitoring. In joining us, you will be helping to create cutting-edge technologies that will improve how we diagnose and treat brain disorders, ultimately improving and saving the lives of patients across the world.

The Role

We're hiring a People Partner, reporting to our Senior People & Operations Manager, supporting CoMind's HQ in London and our remote US team. This is an exciting time to join CoMind — you'll help shape the people's foundations as we scale.

This is a true generalist role. Half of it is operational: leading on onboarding and offboarding end to end. The other half is genuine partnering: leading ER cases, developing managers, building training programmes, and keeping our policies sharp across the UK and US.

If you're someone who brings both operational rigour and the people's instincts to coach, challenge, and build — this is the role.

Responsibilities
  • Manager coaching. You're a genuine thought partner to our managers, particularly those in their first leadership roles. You help them through their firsts — first hire, first 1:1s, first hard conversations — with directness and care.

  • Training design and delivery. You identify capability gaps and build programmes to close them — manager fundamentals, performance conversations, feedback culture. You own the design and you front the delivery.

  • ER case management. You own a full caseload — sickness, performance, grievances — and you manage these independently. You bring your own judgement, know when to escalate, and keep managers informed throughout.

  • HRIS ownership. You run the HRIS day to day: data integrity, joiner and leaver workflows, reporting, and continuous improvement of how we use the system.

  • Payroll. You will co-own the monthly cycle across the UK and US — managing inputs, partnering with our payroll provider, and ensuring accuracy end to end.

  • Onboarding and offboarding. You design and deliver a consistent, quality experience for joiners and leavers, and you evolve it as we grow.

  • Contract and contractor administration. You manage the full contractor lifecycle — drafting, issuing, IR35 considerations, and keeping the process clean.

  • Policy. You keep our handbook accurate, current, and practical. You flag what needs updating before it becomes a problem, and you write policy people will actually read.

  • Driving our wellbeing programme across the UK and US. Building awareness moments through the year, making sure the EAP and mental health support we invest in are visible and used, working with our providers, and pulling pulse data to see where we should be doing more.

Skills & Experience
  • Solid People Partner experience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company — you've operated as a genuine partner to the business, not just a support function.

  • Strong working knowledge of US employment legislation and a good grounding in UK employment law.

  • You manage ER cases independently, bring your own judgement, and know when to bring in additional support.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and pace — you make sensible calls with incomplete information and don't need a playbook for every situation.

  • You've designed and delivered training to mixed audiences and want to do more of it.

  • You've run HiBob (or a comparable HRIS) properly — including employee surveys, compensation reviews, and management reporting, not just day-to-day admin.

  • An active AI adopter. You use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar as a genuine part of how you work — drafting, policy review, training prep, summarising — and you can talk concretely about what you've built with them.

  • You write clearly, ask the right questions, and engage with the real issue rather than hiding behind the process.

  • CIPD Level 5 is useful, not required.

Benefits:

  • Company equity plan so all employees share in the success of the company

  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme

  • Private medical, dental and vision insurance (medical history disregarded)

  • Group life insurance at 4x annual income

  • Comprehensive mental health support, including unlimited access to 1:1 sessions with trained professionals

  • Unlimited holiday allowance (+ bank holidays) and one week of remote working per quarter

  • Lunch voucher (£10) every day for JustEat and free dinner on those days where you need to work later

  • Twice weekly deliveries of fresh fruit and an extensive selection of snacks and drinks

  • YuLife subscription, allowing you to turn your daily steps and meditation into discounts at a range of stores
