Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 600 people
Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
Profitable since 2017
Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)
So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.
We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.
Join us if you want toTake ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1
Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo
Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting
We’re looking for a forward-thinking People Operations Specialist to join our team. This isn’t an administrative role; we’re looking for a builder who is passionate about the future of People Operations at Lendable.
Reporting to the VP of People, you’ll be the driver of our internal efficiency. You’ll take ownership of our core HR processes, from contract issuance to benefits administration, and reimagine them through the lens of AI and automation. You’ll balance this technical focus with a human touch, managing some aspects of our employee relations and ensuring our data and compliance standards remain high as we scale.
How you’ll meet those objectivesAI and Automation Strategy: Audit existing manual HR workflows (contract generation, reference checks, benefits enrollment etc.) and partner with the wider team to create AI-driven solutions to increase efficiency and improve the employee experience.
Compliance and Right to Work: Take full ownership of UK compliance, including accurate end-to-end management of Right to Work checks and Visa sponsorship/management.
Systems Management: Maintain a high bar for HR System management (Bamboo HR, Deel), ensuring all digital employee files and contracts are accurate, and optimising the system for better data flow.
Employee Lifecycle: Oversee and enhance the HR lifecycle of an employee, ensuring that our processes are scalable and people centric. This includes owning our family leave and flexible working processes.
Employee Relations: Act as a key support for our colleagues, managers and People Partners; specifically focusing on managing the probation review cycle and overseeing absence management processes.
Data and Insights: Own HR reporting and analytics, producing key insights for People Partners and Business Leaders to drive forward the People agenda.
People Partnership: collaborate with our internal People team to deliver team and company goals.
Experience: 2 - 4 years’ experience in a People Operations type role, in a fast moving environment.
Efficiency Mindset: You naturally look at a manual spreadsheet and think, "How can I automate this?"
Technical Curiosity: You stay ahead of AI trends and are comfortable experimenting with new tools.
Ownership: You’re happy to roll up your sleeves to fix a data error today while building the system to prevent it tomorrow.
Discretion and Empathy: You handle sensitive employee relations and data with confidentiality and care.
Attention to Detail: In automation and visa compliance, a small error scales quickly; you have a rigorous eye for accuracy.
