About youYou're the kind of person who notices when something's off in a spreadsheet and fixes it before anyone else has spotted it. You care about the details because you know they're what makes an experience feel considered rather than chaotic.
But you're not just a process person. You genuinely care our people’s experience at work. You're the one who makes a new joiner feel welcomed, who remembers someone's first week is always a little overwhelming, and who thinks carefully about what it feels like to work at YLD - not just what the checklist says.
You have 1-3 years of People Operations experience and you're ready to take on more. You're curious about automation and AI, you've probably already tried to make your own processes more efficient, and you're excited to work in a team that thinks about HR the same way a product team thinks about their users.
About the roleWe are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented People Operations Coordinator to join our team of 5 (2 in the UK and 3 in Portugal). This role will play a key part in helping us prepare for growth as we scale, with a strong focus on People Operations and the opportunity to lead and support projects across the full employee lifecycle.
Your day-to-day responsibilities:People Operations- Be the go-to person for day-to-day People queries on the UK side - the reliable, friendly first port of call
- Own the accuracy and integrity of our HR data and documentation - contracts, right-to-work checks, compliance, and everything in between

- You have 1-3 years of People Operations experience and strong People skills
- You like variety. No two weeks look the same, and that energises rather than drains you
- You stay across employment law and compliance - not because you have to, but because you care about getting it right
- You want to be part of a small, progressive People team that genuinely treats People as a product.
- You’re excited about automation, AI and using systems to drive efficiency and impact
- You’re detail-focused, highly organised, and enjoy keeping the machine running smoothly
- You don’t enjoy detail-heavy work. Contracts, right-to-work checks, and precise documentation are critical for this role
- You want a lively office with lots of in-person time. Whilst you would be in our office (near Kings Cross) 2–3 days a week, most of the team is remote
