Job Description

So, who are we?
We’re IG Group. We are a publicly-traded FTSE250 FinTech company who run mobile, web and desktop platforms that help our clients trade stocks & shares, leveraged products, Futures & Options and Crypto.

We are ambitious. Over 340,000 people already use our platforms. We’re global with offices in 18 countries and products in 16 regions. We’re hungry to move faster, ship better product for our customers and grow our user base. We believe in high autonomy, and we want people who are looking to do things differently in order to create better experiences for our customers.

We work in cross-functional teams and are laser focused on increasing the number of active clients we serve to drive sustainable growth.

What’s the role?

The People Experience Executive plays a key role in shaping a positive, engaging, and high-performing employee experience at IG. Joining our UK people team, you’ll report into our Head of HR to support the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding to offboarding — ensuring that every touchpoint is as frictionless as possible.

You’ll partner closely with Group HR, our HRBP and UK leaders to drive initiatives that enhance engagement and build culture. You’ll be proactive, love ideating and identifying opportunities for improvement, and enjoy being at the front-line of our People experience: embedding yourself in the division and getting to know our team. You’ll have a keen sense of what good looks like, and how to create a workplace where employees can thrive.

What will you do?

Visible Front-Line Support

  • Serve as a first point of contact for our team in the UK Division, handling enquiries and signposting the CoreHR team and others.
  • Draft and deliver clear, engaging internal communications related to people initiatives.
  • Provide flexible capacity to the HoHR/ HRBP on ad hoc employee relations matters.

Employee Engagement

  • Deliver and continuously improve employee experience initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
  • Support our cadence of Peakon surveys and follow-up action planning, collaborating at group level and representing UK division needs.
  • Contribute to culture-building activities, recognition programmes, and internal events.
  • Maintain and promote initiatives that support our DEI strategy and build belonging.
  • Support people-focused programmes such as wellbeing initiatives, learning & development rollouts etc.

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Coordinate seamless, high-quality onboarding experiences for new hires.
  • Own our new joiner survey and translate feedback into opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage pre-boarding communications and ensure smooth collaboration with IT, hiring managers, and CoreHR
  • Support offboarding processes, ensuring positive and professional employee transitions.

Excellence in People practice

  • Be a perfectionist when it comes to maintaining our HRIS, org charts etc. so that our data is reliable.
  • Help to review our people policies, guides, and resources to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Support CoreHR with process optimisation and documentation improvements.
  • Use data to make recommendations for improving the employee experience.
  • Foster your own self-development and build networks to keep abreast of what good people experience looks like in the market.
  • Stay up to date with employment law and relevant regulations.

What does success look like?

  • Positive outcomes in our employee engagement survey and other feedback loops
  • Employees feel supported, informed, and connected throughout their journey at IG
  • Engagement and cultural initiatives are delivered smoothly and effectively
  • People processes are clear, consistent, and continuously improved
  • Managers feel supported in creating great experiences for their teams
  • The People team is seen as a trusted, approachable partner across the business

What will you need for this role?

To succeed in this role, we think you'll need:

  • Relevant HR qualification or equivalent experience in People & Culture
  • Proven impact in delivery of People & Culture projects: from initiation to completion
  • Knowledge of wellbeing, DE&I and culture-building practices
  • Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, commercial environment and an understanding of what it takes to support these teams
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Great organisation with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders, as well as manage up – providing visibility of timelines without being chased
  • Empathy, discretion, and a genuine interest in supporting people
  • A bias to action, with the ability to spot gaps and propose improvements
  • Familiarity with HRIS, engagement tools, internal communications platforms etc.
