Our London office is currently recruiting for People & Culture Business Partner (12-month fixed-term contract) to provide a high quality, efficient and collaborative service to business leaders; supporting them with building, tailoring and delivering activity and initiatives that support us in realising our business strategy and priorities.
The Role
The People & Culture Business Partner team use data-driven insights to ensure each department is proactively driving the greatest value from and to the workforce which supports our culture and increases engagement. In collaboration with the central EMEA Talent Team, the People & Culture Business Partner is accountable for delivering the talent management agenda for their client group and supporting leaders in building a healthy, diverse and sustainable talent pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to support them in achieving their objectives by defining and executing the people and culture priorities for their teams which are aligned to our business priorities
- Possess a deep understanding of the client group including their challenges and talent needs. Take an interest in developing knowledge of other client groups to provide coordinated action plans and solutions to problems
- Work in partnership with teams across the People and Culture department and wider business services areas to achieve business goals in an efficient and streamlined way
- Coordinate activities for client groups with other People & Culture team members across EMEA to apply a regional functional/practice group lens and ensure consistency in service delivery across the region
- Maintain a continuous flow of information between wider P&C team by keeping them proactively informed about pipeline projects, upcoming changes, and firmwide cyclical processes.
- Persuade and influence key stakeholders by leveraging data and analytics to draw insights and use these to influence client base and add value with appropriate solutions
- Focus on building and delivering future-focused people plans that support the cultivation of diverse, engaged, and sustainable talent pipelines
- Advocate and drive the diversity, equity & inclusion agenda within the client groups and work closely with the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) team to drive forward initiatives and robust action plans.
- Drive the culture and engagement agenda for their respective client group; understand current engagement levels and articulate the business case for driving change, advise and coach business leaders on role modelling organisational values and culture to drive a high performance culture
- Offer forward-thinking, commercial, creative, and pragmatic solutions in order to minimise risk and manage employee relations issues effectively.
- Remain up-to-date on external market patterns and practices and emerging trends in people and culture to build creative and cost effective solutions for clients
- In conjunction with Centres of Excellence support the attraction & retention of high calibre talent. Scouts, coaches and effectively manages talent in an integrated way, anticipating future business needs
- In conjunction with business leaders, puts measures in place to identify, nurture and develop high potential employees fill existing and future leadership positions and strategically build a talent pipeline to support future needs
- Will work in collaboration with and support the People Experience team, where required, in meeting operational business priorities
- Be a change ambassador, build a culture of innovation through boldly challenging the status quo and providing future focused solutions, partnering in an agile way
- Proactively suggests and lead on projects and execute within budget and on time.
- Innovate – have a continuous improvement mind-set and put forward ideas for new and better ways of working and supporting our clients.
- Focus on continuing professional development by seeking opportunities to engage with learning and development resources to ensure up to date knowledge and skills
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong academic background
- Proven track record of delivering strategic and innovative HR services and solutions
- Professional services / partnership experience useful but not essential
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, persuade, challenge and influence effectively
- Commercially astute, forward-thinking and pragmatic
- Highly proactive and able to work in a fast paced environment in which business priorities frequently change
- Agile, flexible and adaptable in thinking and approach
- Self-starter
- Change advocate and ambassador with demonstrable experience of delivering change
- Exceptional consulting skills
- Exceptional project management skills and delivers results
- First class communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to inspire confidence and respect at all levels
