The purpose of the role is to provide proactive People Business Partnering advice to the business that aligns People strategy with commercial decision making. The role acts as a trusted partner and owns the internal client relationship.

The role will be required to play a key role in the significant growth in the region, which will require strategic support.

This role reaches across all People Team disciplines and is responsible for driving succession, talent, resource and reward planning within the business areas amongst other deliverables. It works in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Reward, People Services, Diversity & Inclusion, M&A and all other People function to take ownership of implementing people solutions that help achieve commercial goals.  

The role will also collaborate closely with Group People BPs to execute global strategies locally.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the relationship between People Team & the business areas. Own the client relationship.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to business leaders.
  • Ensure advice and support is commercially focused and mirrors business trajectory.
  • Partnering with stakeholders and business areas to provide commercially focused advice on matters relating to people, department and divisional change, including acquisitions and integrations.
  • Support organisational effectiveness by developing and implementing solutions aligned to strategy.
  • Provide stakeholders with a commercial understanding of the people agenda and proactively liaise with the wider People function when required to support these business areas.
  • Lead the People vision in ensuring the Target Operating Model is embedded successfully.
  • Appropriately manage business risk through management of Key Risk Measures, and through partnering on employee relations and legislative issues.
  • Partner with Department and Line Managers to support transformational change activity.
  • Continuously drive improvements in tools and policies through external market trends, insight and internal best practice.
  • Provide support or lead on complex Employee Relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and redundancy processes, providing advice and guidance to the business on all employee related matters ensuring best practice and legal compliance.
  • Leading by example as a role model for FNZ’s values and professional standards.

Experience required:

  • People Business Partner within a fast-paced environment, with a strong commercial & entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Experience of a matrixed, global environment.
  • Creation and/or execution of Strategic People Plans
  • Significant involvement or managed integrations of businesses/departments. Led on change management and staff
  • People Project Management including the design, delivery and implementation of People Team initiated projects.
  • Strong facilitation and consultancy skills; able to consult and influence on a range of relatively complex people issues with a proven ability to deliver against a range of conflicting demands.
  • Able to quickly establish credibility and maintains positive & productive working relationships with colleagues
  • Organized and proactive, with the drive to deliver results and manage self effectively.
  • High impact as a communicator - verbally, written and in meetings.
  • Personal drive and commitment to delivery of results, through others where necessary.
  • Capable of working to deadlines and adapting to changing conditions, ability to generate effective and pragmatic data driven solutions to new situations and challenges as they are presented.
