About The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Pensions Manager. This position reports to the Global Head of Benefits and will be based in our Bankside office.
In this role you will be the subject matter expert for our UK and Irish pension plans. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of our pension policies and processes as well as managing complex pension issues or risks.
Further responsibilities include working with our third-party vendors and coordinating the Retirement Trustee, liaising with technical advisers, and Fiduciary Bodies. You will partner closely with our Benefits Reward Delivery teams and People Services teams and HR Country Leads.
The role will also work closely with the Executive Reward Team and Global Mobility teams on the Executive and International Assignee populations who have pension queries.
Key Responsibilities
Daily management of the UK and Irish retirement plans, including vendor management, insured programs, fiduciary body support, compliance, and business liaison as necessary.
Applying expert knowledge to simplify, ensure compliance and continuously improve Pension operations, partnering with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
Partnering closely with the Benefits, Reward Delivery Teams, People Services, Payroll, HR Policy Forum and HR to resolve pension queries and ensuring eligible employees are informed of options, salary sacrifice options etc.
Partnering with Pension vendors such as AON, Wealth at Work or other vendors on trainings and other engagement tools.
Managing the UK and Irish retirement and other on and off-boarding processes related to Pensions.
Managing the day-to-day activities related to the International Pension plan and supporting Trustee/ consultants on future Investment and Plan strategies.
Partnering with internal stakeholders to successfully implement operational, design and structural changes for simplification of pension administration.
Ensuring all data, records, files, and distribution of records are managed and kept secure in line with the Data Protection legislative requirements, maintaining efficient and safe record keeping that is easily accessible when required.
Assisting in the interpretation of new company policy, changes in legislation and new government acts in the application to the current UK and Irish pension arrangements in adherence to internal policies and procedures.
Supporting the Global Benefits Programs and Projects, including M&A, Global Wellness programs and other Global Benefits initiatives and strategies.
Skills / Experience
Experience working with post-retirement and other benefits and providing guidance to the providers to ensure accurate administration of the plans.
Practical knowledge and application of UK and Ireland pension and post-retirement benefits (DB, DC, Mixed Benefit Pension schemes, etc).
Deals well with complexity and ambiguity and prioritises strategically.
Business focused, commercial and pragmatic – a creative problem solver
Operates independently and is comfortable taking the lead and being accountable.
Produces work that is high quality, high impact – attention to detail is critical.
Collaborates well and effectively manages stakeholders.
