Job Responsibilities:
Scope of Position
- Manages the overall control and movement of materials in and out of plants. Directs and administers some or all the following: communication when purchasing needs involved, production scheduling and control, inventory and warehouse stock control, warehousing, customer sales order entry, customer service, traffic and shipping.
Minimum Requirements
- 10 years experience in a production environment
- Minimum of five years of supervision and scheduling experience
- Must be computer literate, with very strong computer skills
- Must be organized
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the Production Control department.
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving team all inbound/outbound shipments are supported for production requirements.
- Review weekly customer releases, analyze balance to build conditions
- Reviews daily with planning team suppliers on time and past due deliveries
- Based upon customer releases and inventories on hand, works with planning team and production team to set schedule considering capacities and manpower requirements
- Works with Quality Control on any issues with defective material, Production Control relative to any late deliveries and coordinates all vendor returns.
- Monitors daily plant production, ensuring all customers schedules are being met
- Reviews all inventory cycle counts and investigates any significant variances.
- Coordinates and manages physical inventories.
- Ensures full compliance with all MAFACT, Q1 and MMOGLE requirements
- Ensure all legislative requirements of OSHA are met.
