  • Reconcile payroll reports, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues before final approval.

  • Maintain accurate employee records in payroll and HR systems (e.g., Workday), ensuring data alignment across systems.

  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries, providing timely and clear resolutions via the service desk.

  • Support payroll system updates, testing, and integrations, including legislative changes and provider enhancements.

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure correct payroll inputs, approvals, and compliance.

  • Manage interactions with external payroll providers and monitor service delivery, escalating issues when necessary.

  • Assist with statutory submissions, audits, and reporting to ensure compliance with local payroll legislation.

  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and automation, contributing to continuous process improvement.

  • Prepare and distribute payroll metrics and dashboards for management review.

About You
You are a proactive payroll professional with strong operational and analytical skills. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to delivering accurate, compliant payroll services. Key qualities include:

  • Experience in payroll operations, ideally with multi-country exposure.

  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation; awareness of other regional frameworks is beneficial.

  • Proficiency in payroll and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP) and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a customer-focused mindset.

  • Ability to take ownership, work independently, and support process improvements.

  • Experience supporting audits, reporting, and vendor management is a plus.
