The role

As the Payment Ops Manager at INFINIT, you will own the operational backbone of our payment, liquidity and funding processes across all active markets. You will ensure funding availability, accurate execution of payment flows, and strong operational controls in a multi-country, regulated environment.

You will also play a key role in helping design and scale our Payment Institution; translating operational needs into structured, auditable and scalable processes.

What do we want to achieve together?

  •  Run the Payment Engine (Operations & Reconciliation)Own daily payment operations across multiple markets.
  • Perform and oversee payment reconciliation between bank statements and internal ledgers.
  • Ensure clearing vs settlement accuracy across all payment flows.
  • Investigate and resolve payment incidents, failures and returns end-to-end.
  • Identify repetitive reconciliation tasks and work with Product/Data teams to automate them (e.g., via SQL queries or by helping train internal automation tools).
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of clear operational procedures and controls.

  • Manage Liquidity & Funding
  • Monitor cash positions across multiple accounts and countries.
  • Ensure sufficient liquidity is available to support daily business activity.
  • Track funding movements and proactively flag liquidity risks.
  • Optimise how and where cash is positioned to improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Finance and Capital Markets to ensure smooth execution of funding cycles.

  • Build the Payment Institution & Partner EcosystemAct as the operational point of contact for Banking-as-a-Service and financial partners.
  • Manage support tickets and push for timely resolution of operational issues.
  • Identify inefficiencies in partner processes and drive improvements.
  • Support the build-out of our Payment Institution framework 
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Compliance teams to ensure processes are scalable, auditable and regulator-ready.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • 3+ years of experience in payment operations, treasury operations, banking operations or fintech.
  • Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with data.
  • Experience reconciling transactions and understanding ledger vs cash movements.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with BI tools; SQL is a strong plus.
  • Ability to manage incidents calmly and drive resolution across teams.
  • Adaptability and curiosity in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Experience in a payment services provider or bank is a plus, but not mandatory.
