About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Partner Marketing Manager to help disrupt the DXP category as we enter an ambitious new phase of growth. Contentful is a composable digital experience platform designed for structured content, personalization at scale, powerful AI orchestration and management capabilities along with the best in class APIs, allowing digital teams and developers to ship personalized, content-driven experiences faster, to any type of digital endpoint. Companies, including Spotify, Sephora, Harley Davidson, Kraft Heinz, Red Bull, WeWork, Lyft, Peloton, and Urban Outfitters, rely on Contentful to manage digital experiences as part of their modern web stack.
Reporting to the Global Head of Partner Marketing, this dynamic and multifaceted partner marketing leader will focus on developing and executing marketing strategies for several prioritized regional and global partners while creating scalable resources and communications for a broader partner ecosystem. This position requires a blend of strategic planning, collaboration, and creativity to support partnerships and drive marketing initiatives effectively.
What to expect?
- Co-Marketing Planning and Execution: Lead the marketing planning and execution for a set of priority regional partners; work closely with partner counterparts and members of the Contentful partnerships team to create annual co-marketing plans that align with overarching company objectives and regional targets to maximize impact and drive growth throughout the year. Stay abreast of the business nuances by monitoring industry trends and the competitive landscape to adapt strategies for maintaining a competitive edge in the partnership ecosystem.
- Partner Messaging and Joint Thought Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive partner messaging through landing pages, brochures, and sales collateral, collaborating with key stakeholders to craft compelling narratives highlighting joint value propositions. Drive thought leadership initiatives alongside partners, creating co-branded content, webinars, and industry articles to enhance brand visibility, strengthen strategic alliances, and position the company as a leader in the industry.
- Integrated Campaign Support and Execution: Assist in the management and execution of industry and partner-specific demand gen campaigns that build pipeline, increase brand awareness, and create demand for joint offerings and solutions. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timelines, logistics, and deliverables progress smoothly. Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data-driven insights to optimize performance and inform future strategies.
- Regional Partner and Field Activation: Collaborate closely with regional partnerships, sales, and field marketing teams to align on partner priorities and execute targeted activations across key regions, specifically EMEA and North America. Identify high-impact opportunities that can be scaled, enabling the field teams with the right partner marketing messaging, best practices, tools, and resources to increase ROI.
- Strategic Partner Communications: Enhance visibility and engagement around product launches, partner achievements, and customer success stories through targeted communications across social media and monthly newsletters. Play a key role in crafting impactful messaging for quarterly partner town halls to boost awareness and participation among partners.
- Partner Marketing Toolkits: Co-lead the annual planning, refresh, and implementation of partner marketing toolkits designed to empower our diverse ecosystem of partners with updated marketing materials, best practices, and strategic guidance necessary to enhance our collective brand presence in the market.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders across partnerships and field teams. Develop a systematic approach to facilitate collaboration between these critical areas and partner marketing to ensure effective support for partners, alignment with regional objectives, and clarity on target markets.
- Budget Management: Oversee and optimize marketing budget with focused partners to maximize the impact of partner marketing initiatives and adjust expenditures throughout the fiscal year.
What you need to be successful
- 5+ years of direct experience building and managing partner marketing programs, which includes experience working alongside Partnership teams in related roles: marketing campaign manager, field marketing, partner development (sales/bizdev), etc.
- Experience working for a fast-growing B2B software company, where partner sales are done in conjunction with an enterprise sales team.
- Skilled at planning, building, and executing regional partner marketing activities and initiatives such as webinars, email campaigns, events, and thought leadership that drive pipeline growth.
- Strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively across various platforms and a track record of building and framing partner and solution messaging
- Highly organized individual with proven ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously to complete results on time and under budget.
- A self-starter who has a strong work ethic and can manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A team player, and know how to get multiple departments to play well together towards the same end goal.
- A passionate individual with a knack for solving problems and building/delivering solutions, and you’re OK with taking risks (and learning from failure)
- Humble, but your colleagues would say that you’re a game-changer and an “A player”
- A generally curious person, and you love to listen and learn
- Technically oriented and understand APIs, and have an aptitude to continue learning about Contentful’s technology
