About Motorway

Motorway is the UK’s fastest-growing used car marketplace – our award winning, online-only platform connects private car sellers with over 7,500 verified dealers nationwide, who compete to offer the best price. Founded in 2017, our technology makes the process refreshingly easy, earning us an 'Excellent' Trustpilot rating with over 70,000 reviews. We're not just building a platform; we're changing how people sell cars.

Backed by leading investors like Index Ventures and ICONIQ Growth, and following a successful $190 million funding round, we're on a mission to transform the used car market.

The role

The Partner Manager role sits within our dynamic, multi-disciplined Marketing team, operating as part of the Growth Marketing function. The role is primarily responsible for managing and growing our affiliate partnerships, whilst also supporting a range of other Growth Marketing initiatives. The overarching objective is to acquire more customers to sell their car(s) on Motorway.

As a Partner Manager, you will work closely with our Head of Partnerships and other channel leads to support new partnership opportunities, while managing and strengthening existing partner relationships.

What you'll do

This unique role offers the opportunity to work across business development, account management and affiliate marketing responsibilities, within a fast-paced and collaborative environment that is transforming the entire car industry.

  • Generate a pipeline of new potential affiliate partners through outbound business development tactics (e.g., LinkedIn, email outreach, events).

  • Convert potential partners into contracted, revenue-driving partners by pitching value propositions, negotiating commercial terms and managing contract completion.

  • Identify opportunities to optimise and grow existing affiliate partnerships to increase revenue.

  • Analyse partner data and performance to inform account management decisions.

  • Assess the effectiveness of our referral scheme and create new ideas and plans to optimise the efficacy of the referral channel.

  • Review and process monthly affiliate invoices, cross-checking against internal data dashboards.

  • Report internally on the weekly performance of the affiliate portfolio, highlighting key trends, opportunities and challenges.

  • Collaborate with teams across Product, Design, Data and the wider Marketing department.

Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience in Affiliate Management, Business Development, Account Management or Partner Management.

  • Experience acquiring new partners and managing existing relationships.

  • A basic understanding of affiliate marketing.

  • Comfortable analysing data, managing tasks efficiently and working across multiple projects.

  • Able to work cross-functionally, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.

  • A proactive approach to learning and a genuine interest in growth marketing channels.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to take ownership and drive projects forward.
