About the Role

The Partner Growth Manager role is an exciting opportunity in our European Partner Success Team to directly influence the commercial success of our partners, some of the largest retailers in Europe.

Businesses that partner with Ocado Solutions come in all shapes and sizes, and leverage our technology in different ways.  In this role, you will combine your knowledge of ecommerce, grocery retail, and online marketing with communication skills and analytical abilities to shape and influence how our partners grow online. 

The Partner Growth Manager will work with the Ocado Partner Account team to drive the growth agenda in our partner’s business, enabling our partners to improve commercial outcomes, grow their customer base, order volume, and overall profitability. 

You will build effective relationships with key commercial, marketing, and ecommerce stakeholders in our partners’ businesses. You will leverage knowledge of customer objectives, strategic know-how, knowledge of the Ocado Smart Platform (OSP), as well as the expertise of our central growth subject matter experts to create and implement successful growth strategies. You will become a first line of e-commerce growth support, leveraging our team of central subject matter experts for more in-depth support. You will support your internal stakeholders in the region with insights and reporting on growth topics, as well as be a source of information and support for your partners. 

As part of the Europe Partner Success Team you will be responsible for supporting our partners in their day to day use of OSP, ensuring that their webshop is configured optimally, using the most impactful OSP features, to drive maximum customer acquisition, retention and basket size.

You will consult with partners through both in-depth projects in close collaboration with our Central Growth and/or Technology teams, as well as ongoing optimisation forums aimed at improving their commercial performance. You will leverage data to drive recommendations that improve overall performance. 

  • The Partner Growth Manager is accountable for shaping and delivering growth strategy for their assigned Partner(s), supporting improved commercial outcomes including customer acquisition, retention, order growth and profitability.
  • Works closely with the Partner’s  ecommerce, marketing and technology teams and cross-functional Ocado stakeholders to align growth priorities and execution.
  • Uses growth, trading and customer data and analytics to understand commercial performance, identify trends and opportunities, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to Partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Accountable for translating Partner growth objectives into clear, prioritised growth initiatives and optimisation opportunities that support long-term commercial success, maximising the potential of the OSP platform.
  • Acts as Ocado’s primary growth and ecommerce subject matter expert for the Partner, using deep knowledge of OSP capabilities and growth / go-to-market expertise to shape recommendations on ecommerce configuration, trading, monetisation and customer experience, as well as sustainable marketing and communications adapted to the local competitive landscape
  • Owns the Partner relationship for e-commerce and growth OSP roadmap engagement, acting as the named point of contact for, trading, monetisation, customer experience roadmap topic, and, in general, any non-operational topic.
  • Represents Partner growth and ecommerce requirements and priorities into Ocado’s roadmap governance processes, supporting feature discovery with clear problem definition, context and Partner business case and value articulation.
  • Monitors delivery and adoption of growth-critical features and capabilities, working with internal teams and Partners to maximise realised commercial value and improve utilisation of growth-enabling functionality.
  • Identifies and escalates risks, dependencies or delivery issues that may impact the Partner’s ability to realise growth from OSP capabilities.

About you

  • Fluency in English essential and one other European language desirable (French, Spanish, Polish, Swedish) 
  • Bias to action, capable of designing data-driven strategies but also secure implementation
  • Stakeholder, relationship building and networking skills
  • A team player who’s comfortable interacting with Partner teams
  • Self-motivated with an ability to deliver to deadlines and multi-task under pressure
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Able to handle difficult situations, facing challenges with positivity, confidence and pragmatism
  • Experience in one or several of the following fields:
    • Performance marketing within a direct to consumer business (grocery ecommerce experience a plus)
    • Commercial or trading experience in a direct to consumer business ( grocery ecommerce experience a plus)
    • Retail management consulting 
  • Familiarity and passion for data-driven marketing, consumer insight, and ecommerce
  • Familiarity with or experience with measuring and optimizing key growth metrics including user growth, conversion, LTV
