Partner Management Lead About SumUp

We believe in the everyday hero — those who have the courage to follow their passion and the determination to realise their dreams.

Small business owners are at the heart of all we do, so we're creating powerful, easy-to-use financial solutions to help them run their businesses. With a founder’s mentality and a team-first attitude, our diverse teams across Europe, South America, and the United States work together to ensure that small business owners can be successful doing what they love.

Team Description

You’ll join our Partnerships Channel as the leader of the Partner Growth team — the team at the centre of SumUp’s integration and partner strategy.

The Partner Growth team is responsible for managing and growing SumUp’s partnership portfolio (ISVs, Reseller and Referrals). The team plays a crucial role in growing SumUp’s integration ecosystem and driving revenue and merchant acquisition through third-party POS integrations and other integrations to our POS (like Accounting, Booking, Ordering etc).

This team has two core missions: Onboard and grow new integration partners and Accelerate merchant acquisition and revenue growth — by developing strong, collaborative relationships with existing partners and helping them unlock new business opportunities through SumUp’s products.

As Partner Management Lead, you’ll elevate this function — defining the structure, frameworks, and rhythm that enable scalable collaboration and measurable success. You’ll guide a talented team of 7 Partner Growth Managers, empowering them to think commercially, act strategically, and execute with precision.

You’ll also work closely with Product, Engineering, Revenue, and Partner Acquisition teams to ensure our integrations deliver impact — enabling merchants across Europe to thrive through better-connected, smarter business tools.

You’ll be based in our London office, working in an office-first setup with high-impact stakeholders across the company.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and develop the Partner Growth team (7 FTEs), setting a clear vision, KPIs, and scalable ways of working.
  • Build and implement a standardised onboarding framework for new ISVs, ensuring smooth handovers from Partner Acquisition to Product and Growth teams.
  • Introduce performance management systems to forecast, measure, and improve partner-driven revenue.
  • Create and roll out a commercial playbook to prioritise partners, segment portfolios, and scale activation and growth motions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, RevOps, and Engineering to accelerate integrations and unblock partner initiatives.
  • Strengthen SumUp’s market positioning by developing sales materials and narratives that position us as the preferred payment partner for ISVs.
  • Balance strategic vision with hands-on problem solving, ensuring clarity, accountability, and performance across the team.
You’ll Be Great for This Role If You
  • Have 8+ years of commercial experience (ideally in fintech or SaaS) and at least 3 years of people leadership experience.
  • Have built or scaled partner management structures, KPIs, and playbooks.
  • Are data-driven and comfortable with Salesforce, dashboards, and performance analytics.
  • Have strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills — you influence effectively across business and tech teams.
  • Combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution; you’re proactive, resilient, and solution-oriented.
  • Thrive in fast-changing environments and bring a growth mindset — leading by example and driving accountability in your team.
