We're looking for a Partner Development Manager, who will be responsible for developing new commercial hospitality partnerships that drive new merchants to Lightspeed.

This PDM will be accountable for presenting the partnership plan to partner qualified leads, strategy and negotiation of commercials terms, successful and seamless onboarding experience for their partners and having a presence at large hospitality industry trade shows when required. 

What you'll be doing: 

  • Develop new commercial partnerships that drive new merchants to Lightspeed, both referral and reseller partners
  • Through outbound prospecting and inbound qualification, recruit new integration and reseller partnerships
  • Meet quotas defined by leadership
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly pipeline reporting and forecasts 
  • Ensure smooth handover to the allocated Partner Trainer, Partner Growth Manager and Partner Marketing Manager
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as an advocate for those partners within Lightspeed
  • Responsible for delivering defined ROI, key learning’s, reporting and evaluation of partnership impact to drive market share growth, brand awareness and sales
  • Strong understanding of current trends, patterns, and events in the industry
  • Attend marketing and industry events
  • Be a subject matter expert in the POS domain to understand how Lightspeed’s suite of products can be applied to all stages of our customer’s retail or restaurant operations
  • Handle other duties and responsibilities as defined by management

 What you need to bring: 

  • 3-5 years of channel sales experience; Software sales experience preferred
  • Experience with generating sales forecasts
  • High degree of initiative and self-direction; bias for action
  • B2B relationship building skills
  • Ability to develop comprehensive growth strategies
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills, group presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive and fast-moving environment

Even Better if you have: 

  • SaaS sales experience
  • Expert level knowledge of Salesforce, Mac OS, G Suite, Slack and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in the Hospitality industry
