Overview (6 month rolling contract)

Joining our Transactional Paralegals & Support Lawyers team for their initial training and matter work, before starting a client secondment in the legal department of a major motor and home insurer.

The secondment will be working remotely with the Client’s legal team. The team is small (under 10 people) and works collaboratively, so there is room for the candidate to take on higher-level work if they have more experience or are able to settle quickly and impress in the team.

Potential to rejoin the Linklaters Transactional Paralegals & Support Lawyers team on completion of the secondment. The secondment to likely last beyond the initial six months, the client initially asked about a year but hasn’t confirmed yet.

Requirements

At least one year’s experience in a Paralegal or Support Lawyer role.

Corporate or transactional experience preferred, especially if related to negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts.

You must be LPC/BPTC or SQE1 qualified as a minimum to be considered for this role.

The client has stated that they have a small and collaborative team and described their ideal candidate as willing to learn and enthusiastic. It seems provided they have a base-level of experience, attitude and adaptability are more valuable.
