Who You’ll Work With
Corebridge Investments, a global institutional asset management organization, is seeking a legal assistant, resident in its London office. The legal assistant will report to a Managing Director, Associate General Counsel of Corebridge Institutional Investments (Europe) Limited.
About The Role
Corebridge Investments prides itself on fostering and maintaining a professional, friendly, creative and supportive work environment. This is a client-facing role that is fully integrated with the business. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of, and help to promote, Corebridge’s positive business culture. The legal assistant’s primary role will be to assist the legal team of Corebridge Institutional Investments (Europe) Limited, which is authorized and regulated by the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority and is the non-U.S. arm of Corebridge Investments.
The role would be ideal for someone looking to make a move into a paralegal role and will provide developmental opportunities for a willing and capable candidate. The role will be a full-time role.
Responsibilities
Reviewing, amending and negotiating confidentiality agreements, and where appropriate, managing external law firm review of confidentiality agreements.
Assisting with the company secretarial and corporate governance functions, including preparing board packs and assisting with taking minutes.
Reviewing proposed vendor and other third-party contracts, inter-company agreements and other documents as required by business needs.
Working closely and cooperatively with all Corebridge Investments’ business teams and Corebridge lawyers in order to promote effective and efficient processes and successful results; and
Contributing to the Corebridge Global Legal, Compliance and Regulatory Department’s broader goals and projects, and developing expertise in other legal matters as required by business needs.
Skills and Qualifications
The candidate must have a degree from a reputable UK university and experience of working within a top law firm.
Must have a keen interest in the legal profession and ideally an understanding of, and appreciation for, finance and credit markets, demonstrated business acumen and a strong corporate legal background.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
The ability to balance a varied workload of shifting priorities.
Executive presence.
Location
This position is based in Corebridge Financial' s London office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
Estimated Travel
Minimal travel.
