Job Description

The role of Paid Media Manager is important to us.

This is a key  opportunity for an in house paid media expert to join the Radius digital marketing team and work across our Vehicle Telematics business.

This role will be responsible for developing and delivering our paid search and paid social strategy, working with both internal teams and an external performance marketing agency.

We are looking for someone with a strong focus on lead generation and delivering strong returns on investment; a marketing innovator with a strong commercial background who can confidently steer and execute our paid media activity.

As a Paid Media Manager, you will lead the planning, delivery, and ongoing improvement of paid media campaigns across multiple channels and international markets, ensuring that paid media activity supports our wider business objectives and delivers high quality leads.

You will have strong analytical skills, a deep knowledge of digital advertising platforms, and a proven experience in improving conversion rates are essential.

In-person collaboration is very important to us. This is an office-based role, working Monday to Friday from our Radius Campus head office in Crewe, Cheshire.

The onsite facilities are excellent, including gym, changing rooms, café, barista bar, and multiple breakout areas.

Your responsibilities day to day will be…

Strategy and ownership

  • Own and deliver our paid media strategy across paid channels
  • Ensure that all activity aligns with our wider marketing and business objectives
  • Act as our subject matter expert for all paid activity within the organisation

Performance and lead generation

  • Drive lead generation with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and return on investment
  • Set and manage performance targets across campaigns and markets
  • Continuously improve conversion rates through testing and optimisation

Budget and commercial management

  • Manage paid media budgets and ensure spend is used effectively
  • Apply strong commercial judgement to investment and optimisation decisions
  • Track performance against budget and forecast future spend

Agency and team collaboration

  • Manage day to day relationships with external performance marketing agency
  • Work closely with internal paid and digital teams to align activity
  • Collaborate closely with our CRO team to optimise landing pages and conversion funnels
  • Line manage a direct report and support their ongoing development

Data, insight, and reporting

  • Analyse campaign performance and turn data into clear actions
  • Deliver regular performance reports/updates to senior stakeholders
  • Use insight to inform planning and ongoing optimisation

Governance and best practice

  • Ensure paid media activity follows platform and brand guidelines
  • Stay up to date with changes across digital advertising platforms
  • Share best practice and improve paid media ways of working

What do we expect of you?

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in managing paid media campaigns, with a proven track record in lead generation and ROI optimisation.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, MS Ad. Strong knowledge of analytics tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and other relevant software.

Analytical Mindset

  • You must have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.

Budget Management

  • Experience managing substantial media budgets with a focus on achieving optimal ROIs.

Creative Thinking

  • Ability to create compelling ad creatives and landing pages that drive conversions.

Collaboration

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams.
