Your new role

As an Activation Executive at Global, you will be responsible for a portfolio of under £10m working alongside your agency counterparts to deliver revenue targets and ensure Global achieve market share or above. As a trading executive you are to deliver outstanding service to our specialist partners and be able to build first class relationships with these key customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute with some support from your Group Trading Manager to delivering weekly, monthly, and quarterly team sales targets.

  • Shadow your Group Trading Manager on the larger briefs and opportunities to develop you understanding of the portfolio and sales skills.  

  • With support of the Group Trading Manager run a sub £10m per annum portfolio of agencies / specialist.

  • With support of your group Trading Manager and working alongside key individuals within the team like your commercial Agency Director, Specialist Director and Head of Trading to develop and nurture new and existing relationships with both external partners and internal stakeholders

  • Apply your knowledge of the Global Outdoor inventory to provide relevant solutions for briefs and development of proactive ideas.

  • Ensure by smart trading that all formats within the Global Outdoor portfolio are commercialised and improving profitability.

  • In conjunction with the sales planning team provide high levels of customer service ensuring Global Outdoor are considered the number 1 partner in OOH.

  • Use negotiation skills with some support and guidance from your group trading Manager to maintain trading rates and secure highest possible volume deals significantly improving yields consistently across the Global Outdoor estate.

  • Negotiate best share on all briefs inline and above Global Outdoors market position.

  • Work aligned with the strategy and client sales teams to deliver achieve budgets for Global Outdoor.

  • Manage and develop relationships with a range of stakeholders across Global Outdoor

  • Ensure all bookings are communicated accurately to our planning teams and processed accurately ensuring we deliver all bookings avoiding any credit queries.

  • Work and develop your presentation skills regularly presenting alongside your Group Trading Manager in status meetings and updates with your contacts.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Developed a strong understanding of the Outdoor portfolio and have a basic understanding of the sales benefits of each environment / product.

  • Start building some key relationships with the relevant contacts within your specialist.

  • Fully commit to all available training and development opportunities within Global to build your outdoor and wider media knowledge.

  • Begin to trade independently across your portfolio with some support from your Group Trading Manager.

  • Proactively pitching a minimum of 3 ideas per week to your specialist across your portfolio

  • Have a strong understanding of market share Global should be achieving on every trade.

  • Developed a good understanding of rates and yields allowing you to trade effectively across the portfolio.

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrate media sales experience daily with an understanding of the Global portfolio and the wider media market.

  • Degree educated in a relevant field preferred but not essential.

  • Demonstrate hitting and exceeding sales targets consistently in a team environment (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly)

  • Demonstrate high levels of customer service

  • Proactive approach and able to deliver creative and innovative solutions

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Resilient and flexible individual who is interested in developing their career

  • Proactive, innovative, motivated outlook with passion for Outdoor & Media

  • Individual should have a thirst for knowledge and be fully committed to all training and development available to develop your experience

  • Working within a big team and being highly collaborative to deliver the best results for Global.
