Role Overview:

Infosys Consulting is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Principal or Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Operations Support Systems (OSS), Service Management, and the Telco Network Domain. Based in our London office, you will play a pivotal role in advising and guiding our telecommunications clients through complex business and technology transformations. You will leverage your extensive understanding of network technologies, associated business processes, and OSS/BSS landscapes to deliver impactful solutions and drive tangible business outcomes. This role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, business consulting skills, and the ability to lead and contribute to high-performing teams.


Responsibilities:


·       Lead and contribute to consulting engagements focused on OSS transformation, service management optimization, and network domain strategy for telecommunications clients.

·       Utilize deep knowledge of Telco Network Domains (e.g., Fixed, Mobile, IP, Cloud, 5G, IoT) and their associated business processes (e.g., Network Planning & Design, Network Build & Deployment, Service Provisioning, Service Assurance, Inventory Management).

·       Apply comprehensive understanding of OSS architectures, functions, and their integration with BSS systems.

·       Provide expert advice and guidance on service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, eTOM) and their application within a telecommunications context.

·       Analyze client business requirements, identify gaps, and develop innovative and practical solutions leveraging OSS and network domain best practices.

·       Define and document solution architectures, business process flows, and functional specifications related to OSS and network systems.

·       Contribute to the development of thought leadership, methodologies, and frameworks within the OSS and network domain.

·       Participate in business development activities, including proposal development and client presentations.

·       Collaborate effectively with client stakeholders at various levels, building strong and trusted relationships.

·       Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering their growth and development within the practice.

·       Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes within the telecommunications and OSS/BSS landscape.

·       Contribute to internal knowledge sharing sessions and practice development initiatives.


Essential Skills and Experience:


·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

·       8 to 12 years of relevant experience in consulting or within a telecommunications operator environment, with a strong focus on OSS and network domains.

·       In-depth understanding of OSS functional areas such as Network Inventory Management, Service Provisioning, Service Assurance, Fault Management, Performance Management.

·       Strong knowledge of Telco Network technologies and architectures, including but not limited to:

o   Fixed Networks (e.g., FTTH, DSL)

o   Mobile Networks (e.g., 4G LTE, 5G NR)

o   IP Networks (e.g., MPLS, SDN, NFV)

o   Cloud Technologies (e.g., Public, Private, Hybrid)

o   Emerging technologies (e.g., IoT, Edge Computing)

·       Solid understanding of Service Management principles and frameworks (e.g., ITIL, eTOM).

·       Proven ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into actionable technical and business solutions.

·       Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and business audiences.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Experience in leading and facilitating workshops and client meetings.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

·       Willingness to travel as required by client engagements.

·       Eligibility to work in the UK.


Desirable Skills and Experience:

·       Experience with specific OSS/BSS vendor platforms and solutions.

·       Knowledge of data analytics and AI/ML applications within the OSS and network domain.

·       Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

·       Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, TOGAF).

·       Prior experience in a consulting role within a major consulting firm.
