Grant Thornton’s Business Consulting group consists of Enterprise Applications, Technology, Finance, Operations, Deals and People focus areas. The Enterprise Applications (EA) Practice is responsible for advisory and project implementation services related to Oracle Cloud Applications and Technology in particular, and ERP/HCM applications advisory consultancy more generally. 

 

You will undertake the role of ERP Solution Architect specialising in Oracle Cloud ERP Applications solution pre sales, project delivery and related operational management, with focus on architecting solutions within Oracle Cloud ERP implementations. Scope of engagements will include services spanning full ERP & EPM solutions, using Oracle Cloud SaaS products in the main, but extending to other parts of the Oracle Cloud footprint and other solutions and technologies where needed. 

 

Within project engagements and sales activity, you will promote a strong working relationship and team spirit with both Grant Thornton colleagues and customer project teams. Additionally, outside specific project delivery activity, you will contribute particularly to business development, and development of ERP methods and collateral.

A look into the role

  • Within a delivery project you will own the solution for the entire engagement, building and maintaining relationships with key customer stakeholders, and using your knowledge of similar engagements to ensure solution fit and customer satisfaction. You will work key project team members to ensure all aspects of solution are appropriate to the Oracle product set and the customer’s requirements and can be delivered to relevant quality standards by the Grant Thornton project team. Outside projects you will lead and contribute to the development of Grant Thornton’s ERP sales and delivery collateral and methods. 

  • You will be part of the Enterprise Applications Practice, taking a key role within the whole EA team (including both on shore and off shore consultants) in the implementation of Oracle ERP solutions. You will work collaboratively with Project Managers and ERP implementation consultants in the delivery of customer projects. 

  • Your responsibilities will be measured in terms of the success of ERP sales and projects, in achieving referenceable customers, and in developing Grant Thornton’s ability to win and deliver ERP projects. 

  • The EA team is the leading enterprise solutions team within Grant Thornton and your success will be aligned to your ability to build an internal and external brand as an established leader for Oracle Cloud ERP solutions. Your knowledge will be visible and respected internally within the EA and Business Consulting teams and within Oracle UK’s sales and solution consulting teams.

Joining us as a Oracle Cloud ERP Solution Architect , the minimum criteria you’ll need is years’ experience in similar Consulting/Project roles, with evidence of multiple successful Oracle Cloud ERP applications implementations, playing a central role in successful pre-sales and detailed domain expertise within Oracle Cloud ERP process flows.

Your experience may be in a mix of implementation and end user roles but will include strong knowledge of the issues and challenges faced by the Finance function and how Oracle applications can be applied to solve them.

Here are a few more skills we are looking for:

  • Experience of solution definition and project delivery for Oracle EPM products.
  • Experience of building lasting relationships with C Level and Senior Solution stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications – and a demonstrable track record of being able to use those skills to build and maintain excellent executive relationships.
  • Experience of working in equivalent roles in customer or professional services environments.
  • While much of our project work is conducted in a hybrid manner, willingness to travel to work on customer sites as needed, mostly in UK, but globally by exception, is important.
