Software Engineer - Internal Tools

This role will be our first Software Engineer dedicated to supporting our operational teams. You will take ownership of the internal tooling used by those teams, and work day to day with them to identify bottlenecks, fix issues, generate business intelligence, and provide technical support. You will also work with the wider Engineering team to understand our Savings platform so that you can provide assistance for production issues, and ultimately have input into the larger product roadmap.

This is a hybrid role - you will work at least 3 days a week from our office near Old Street.

Requirements:

• A foundation in Java and/or Typescript software development
• Understanding of modern web applications
• Experience working with SQL databases and REST APIs
• Demonstrable experience in ownership and prioritisation of a work backlog
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Nice-to-have: Experience with low-code platforms such as Retool
• Nice-to-have: Experience with business intelligence platforms
• Nice-to-have: Any experience in fintech or working on API-driven SaaS products.
