Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career Operations Management?

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team at our factory located in Hull. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of a 24/7 operation, with a production team working a four-shift operation focusing on the post-treatment processes including final assembly. As a key member of the Hull Management Team, you'll collaborate closely with the entire leadership team, including your two fellow Operations Managers.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Lead and develop your team and group leaders with passion and structure to maintain high performance levels

  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologies to meet targets and output

  • Promote structured processes to continuously enhance product quality

  • Cultivate a safety-oriented culture, emphasizing excellence in safety performance

  • Drive cost optimization efforts to achieve targets while pursuing ongoing cost improvements 

  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to people, safety, quality, delivery, and cost

  • Deliver on production schedule commitments, budgets, and performance management plans

What you need to make a difference
 

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

  • Degree qualified (desirable)

  • Significant experience of working in a senior people management role, ideally within a large scale manufacturing / engineering / automotive environment

  • Structured operational hands-on approach

  • Strong leadership and management capabilities

  • Experience with delivery of continuous improvement with evidence of applying Lean methodologies.

  • Familiar with problem solving methodology 

  • Resource and production planning experience

  • Excellent negotiation skills
