Our Operations Managers are key to keeping our stores running smoothly, safely, and efficiently every day. Deputising for the Store Manager, you’ll lead from the front to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every colleague feels valued, supported, and ready to succeed.  

 

You'll bring a proactive approach, taking ownership of store operations, driving high standards, and coaching department managers to build a confident, high-performing team. 


In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

  • Lead and empower the team: Build management capability across the store, mentoring talent and supporting department heads with clear plans to help them grow.
  • Keep standards high, safe, and legal: Act as the store's expert on safe and legal standards, ensuring food safety laws, hygiene, and daily routines are delivered properly every shift.
  • Drive sales and availability: Use your commercial mindset to review store data, spot opportunities, and manage resources so our shelves are always well-stocked for our customers.
  • Listen and improve: Work to support teams through change, listening directly to customer feedback and acting on it to keep making our daily service better.

More about you

 

Ideally you’ll have proven experience in the retail industry, with a track record of successfully managing a large, fast-paced store operation turning over at least £150k a week.

You'll be the kind of person who:

  • Enjoys coaching and developing people, giving constructive feedback that builds confidence and consistency across all departments.
