About Magentic

At Magentic, we're building the next generation of AI agents to transform how the world's largest companies manage procurement and supply chains.

Backed by Sequoia and Felicis, we've brought together an exceptional team with experience from OpenAI, Meta, Revolut, NASA and McKinsey.

We're growing quickly, solving challenging problems and building something with the potential to change how critical industries operate. It's an exciting time to join, early enough to make an huge impact and help shape what comes next.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Operations Lead to play a key role in shaping how Magentic operates as we grow.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is proactive, independent and comfortable taking ownership and making decisions. You'll be pragmatic and commercially minded, with a focus on delivering real impact rather than overcomplicating things. You'll thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, know how to balance competing priorities and be confident finding solutions that work for the business as we grow.

It’s a wide ranging, highly collaborative role that will interact with the whole business: you'll work across people operations, IT and tooling, legal and compliance, alongside leading projects that improve how we work across the business.

What You'll Do
  • Take ownership of key People Operations processes, helping create a great employee experience as we grow.

  • Shape how we use internal systems and tooling, finding smarter ways to work and opportunities to introduce automation.

  • Take ownership of legal and compliance operations, working with external advisers to ensure we're set up for success as we scale.

  • Drive high-impact projects, working closely with teams across the business to evolve our ways of working as we scale.

  • Build and introduce new processes that make a genuine difference to how we operate, bringing together people, tools and data to support our growth.

What We're Looking For
  • 5–6+ years' experience in Operations or a similar generalist role, including experience leading on one of the key areas (people operations, legal, compliance or IT).

  • Experience in high-growth startups is a must.

  • A whizz AI, tooling and automation.

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation and Benefits

At Magentic, we recognise and reward the talent that drives our success. We offer:

  • Competitive Equity: play a real part in Magentic’s upside.

  • Salary: £100,000 - £110,000 per annum

  • Private healthcare

  • Hybrid London HQ (4 days in the office).

  • Company provided meals at the office

  • Monthly “Social budget” to spend getting to know your colleagues (coffee, food, activities, etc.)

  • Work from anywhere 4 weeks out of the year

  • Salary sacrifice pension and nursery schemes

  • Annual team retreat—a fully-funded off-site to recharge, bond, and build.

Our Interview Process

We can move quickly through these stages, so let us know if you have any timelines we need to meet.

  1. Initial call (30 mins): this first step is an opportunity for you to hear more about Magentic and the role, and for us to learn more about how your experience aligns with the role.

  2. Skills interview (45 mins): in this step, we'll ask you to prepare a presentation and take Q&A.

  3. In-person interview (half-day, paid): for the final step, we invite you to come meet the team in-person. We find this is the best way for candidates to get a sense of what working at Magentic is like. This day will include a culture interview, founder interview and a presentation task / discussion with the team.
