The Role

This role is ideal for someone who wants a hands-on, end-to-end view of how a modern business operates. You’ll sit at the heart of the firm, working across Operations, IT, HR and Compliance and helping keep the business running smoothly as we scale rapidly. 

You’ll gain real exposure to how a regulated, fast-growing firm functions - from people and systems to process, culture and compliance. 

You’ll report into the Senior Operations Manager. 

Hybrid working: this role requires regular in-office presence to support the day-to-day running of Operations. 

 

Core Responsibilities 

Operations & Office Management 

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the office, including incoming mail, facilities and office operations 
  • Answering incoming calls via our main phone line 
  • Acting as a central point of coordination across teams 
  • Building strong internal relationships and being a trusted, go-to person across the firm 
  • Supporting the smooth running of the business as we continue to scale 

 

People, HR & Learning Support 

  • Supporting employee onboarding and offboarding 
  • Coordinating employee benefits and perks 
  • Supporting learning and development initiatives across the firm 
  • Helping organise internal training sessions and firm-wide development activity 
  • Supporting people-related processes that contribute to a strong employee experience 

 

IT & Systems Coordination 

  • First-line coordination of IT requests and day-to-day issues 
  • Laptop and device coordination (ordering, setup, handover and returns) 
  • Supporting new joiners with systems access and equipment 
  • Liaising with external IT providers where required 
  • Helping maintain basic IT and asset registers 

 

Compliance & Governance (Day-to-Day) 

  • Running client onboarding processes and completing required checks 
  • Ensuring onboarding documentation is accurate, complete and properly recorded 
  • Managing day-to-day compliance administration within Operations 
  • Maintaining internal processes, records and documentation to a high standard 
  • Supporting internal audits, reviews and compliance workflows as needed 

 

Events, Culture & Engagement 

  • Planning and organising team socials, the annual off-site, Christmas party and ad-hoc events 
  • Supporting internal initiatives that drive culture, connection and engagement 
  • Managing logistics for internal and external events 

 

Finance & Admin Support 

  • Supporting monthly client invoicing processes 
  • Handling client communications where required 
  • Producing leave and reporting data from HR systems 
  • Providing additional finance support where needed, with scope to take on more responsibility over time 
  • Supporting general business administration as needed 

 

What we’re looking for 

Essential 

  • 2+ years’ experience in an operations, coordination or business support role 
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail 
  • Proactive with the ability to manage tasks independently and follow them through to completion 
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities without losing accuracy 
  • Clear and professional communicator, both written and verbal 
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment 
  • Confident using modern systems and task / project management tools
     

Preferred experience in: 

  • Exposure to a compliance-aware or regulated environment 
  • Previous experience within a law firm or professional services environment 
  • Organising events and team activities
