Job Description

The Director of Operations Engineering serves as a bridge between our technical infrastructure and our strategic vision. In this role you will act as a subject matter expert as well as technical leadership within the team. You will be responsible for hands-on development, deployment, and optimisation of integrations of our operational tech stack with a heavy emphasis on Salesforce. As a Director of Operations Engineering, you will work closely with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate solution designs into practical, high-quality implementations, while guiding the team on best practices and driving consistency in technical delivery.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with leadership to align the technology roadmap with long-term business goals.

• Ecosystem Ownership: Lead the implementation strategy for Salesforce and associated operational platforms, ensuring it supports complex workflows, robust reporting, and scalable growth.

• Data Democratisation: Design and implement integrations that break down data silos, ensuring "one version of the truth" is accessible to stakeholders across the business.

• Operational Maturity: Move the organisation from reactive troubleshooting to a proactive, automated, and mature engineering environment.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Work hand-in-hand with the Operations team to identify friction points and deploy technical solutions that enhance team productivity. BI, Marketing Automation) and their integration with our core systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Operations or Systems Engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity

• Deep knowledge in the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Revenue Cloud or CPQ)

• Strong experience configuring and integrating project management tools (e.g. Jira, Wrike, Monday, Certinia)

• Familiarity designing flows into ERP systems (e.g. Netsuite, Sage X3)

• Proven experience with middleware and iPaaS tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Workato, or Make) to connect disparate data sources.

• The ability to translate complex technical hurdles into clear business outcomes across multi-platform brief-to-bank touch points

• A passion for data integrity and a track record of building systems where data is easily visualised in tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Data Studio.

• Take ownership of how initiatives are executed, ensuring solutions are not only delivered, but drive measurable improvements in system performance, data quality, and operational efficiency
