Who You Are

Justworks is seeking an Operations Analyst to help transform how Operations works using data, AI, and automation.

In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with Operations teams to identify and implement process improvements and automations that drive real impact and scale new ways of working, using available AI and automation tools. You’ll be hands-on with data, processes, and tools to identify opportunities and transform workflows that improve day-to-day operations, support our strategy, and improve the customer experience.

You’re curious, move quickly, dive into the details, and follow problems through to resolution. You’re comfortable with data and focused on turning insights into action. You’re motivated by building better systems and seeing your work improve how teams operate and how customers are supported.

Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work On
  • Operational Reporting & Insights: Define, build, and maintain queries and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and proactively translate data into actionable insights for process improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • Workflow Analysis & Improvement: Partner with team members to analyze existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements.
  • Build Automation & Increase Efficiency: Develop automations using available no/low-code and AI tools (e.g., Zapier, Claude) to reduce manual effort and streamline workflows.
  • Support Team Capability: Support team data and AI literacy by sharing best practices, tools, and learnings from analyses and automation work.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed based on department and/or organizational needs.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional experience in operations, business operations, or related roles.
  • An effective communicator, having worked with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • An organized individual who demonstrates strong attention to detail & process-oriented mindset; process improvement experience preferred.
  • A self-starter with a bias for action and proven ability to deliver results.
  • Experience with SQL and AI tools:
    • SQL: Selecting, aggregation, filtering, and joins
    • AI: Prompting, troubleshooting, and applying AI tools to improve workflows. Agents a huge plus.
  • Hands-on experience with specific tools a plus: JIRA, Confluence, Excel, Tableau, workflow automation tools like Claude, Zapier and Gumloop.

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $91,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
