Your Role:

At EIT we are seeking an experienced and detail orientated Operational Technology Manager- Network Infrastructure to lead, manage, and continuously enhance the network infrastructure underpinning physical security and building technology systems across our rapidly growing science and innovation campus.

This role is central to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of systems such as CCTV, access control, building management systems (BMS), environmental monitoring, MEP systems, and laboratory technologies. You will help shape the roadmap as we transition from independently deployed systems to a standardised, enterprise-aligned architecture.



Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, configuration, and deployment of physical security technologies including CCTV, VMS, and access control.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for all physical security systems, collaborating with internal teams and third-party installers.
  • Support the consolidation and modernisation of legacy security systems in line with architectural strategy.
  • Oversee network connectivity for BMS, EMS, laboratory, MEP, and environmental systems.
  • Partner with engineering and facilities teams to ensure reliable day‑to‑day operation.
  • Lead and deliver roadmap initiatives for OT, IoT, and building systems across the estate.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance standardisation, resilience, and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate technical delivery with external vendors, installers, and integrators.
  • Work closely with network, cybersecurity, security operations, and facilities teams.
  • Ensure systems follow enterprise standards and maintain strong documentation and support processes.
  • Assist with incident investigations, problem resolution, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong background in network engineering, configuration, and design.
  • Experience supporting CCTV, access control, and other physical security technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with BMS, EMS, laboratory, MEP, or OT/IoT systems.
  • Familiarity working with multiple third party-installed systems.
  • Understanding of network security principles and segmentation.
  • Ability to manage technical deliverables and coordinate stakeholders.
  • Proven experience working with operational technology and complex environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Collaborative and delivery-focused approach.
  • Ability to explain technical matters to non‑technical colleagues.

Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in large campus, scientific, industrial, or healthcare settings.
  • Experience with HPE Aruba and ClearPass NAC.
