Job Description
If you are a self-starter, have strong management skills, a control focus, strategic thinking and execution, stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills, then this role is for you! We have seen an increased level of regulatory focus globally on operational resiliency. In addition to continued supervisory scrutiny, a number of regulators have also published formal policy statements, challenging organizations to enhance their resiliency frameworks. Resiliency regulatory requirements are complex, with impact at both a Firmwide and Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) level, spanning Front Office, Operations, Technology and Corporate Functions; as a result, the Resiliency framework and tooling are currently going through a significant transformation agenda.
As a Transformational Change Program Director - Executive Director in Operational Resiliency team, you will be responsible for leading a program team to deliver an continuous development agenda in line with Firmwide, CIB & regulatory deliverables. Furthermore, you and the broader CIB resilience team will co-ordinate CIB senior manager communication for crisis of specific severity. Your primary objective will be to ensure that the firm are prepared for every eventuality in terms of disruption and have the ability to respond effectively, whilst achieving compliance with regulation.
Job responsibilities

  • Drives program strategy and framework deliverables
  • Executes the CIB resiliency strategic agenda, working closely with global partners and the Firmwide Resiliency team
  • Builds and leverages global and local partnerships across business, technology & operations in line with the overall program objectives
  • Engages with control stakeholders including 2nd and 3rd lines of defense
  • Advances an inclusive leadership agenda by building a diverse team and actively engaging on the firm's agenda on diversity and inclusion
  • Manage CIB senior manager communication during a crisis with broader CIB resilience team


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven track record in delivering the strategy and execution for complex strategic change management projects
  • Demonstrated governance over process and controls, both over established and required enhancements
  • A relationship builder, who can establish trust and credibility across the organization and influence colleagues, business groups and functional partners
  • Confident and collaborative communicator
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fluid regulatory and business requirements
  • Solid judgment along with the ability to evaluate complex issues
  • Action-oriented and effective listening skills, analytical and organized with a systematic thought process
  • Ability to drive results in a matrixed management environment
  • Initiative in unstructured situations, including seizing new opportunities
  • Creates & promotes a culture of continuous process improvement, and empowers employees to challenge the status quo


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in an investment banking Regulatory, Compliance or Operational team
  • Business Resiliency, Operational & Crisis Management experience
