Job Description

The Operational Resilience Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the Visa Europe Operational Resilience programme to ensure that our most important business services are resilient to extreme disruption, and in doing so, we continue to adhere with the Bank of England Operational Resilience Code.

In this role, your tasks will include:

  • Working with the immediate team and wider stakeholder group to evolve the Operational Resilience exercise program, including exercise scheduling, scenario design and all aspects required for successful exercise delivery
  • Collaboration with stakeholders from the business and supporting functions to identify ways of working to drive improvements and efficiencies
  • Engaging with Risk Management (Europe and global) to help drive delivery of the Europe requirements for the global Business Resilience tool
  • Managing the agenda for the First Line of Defence Europe Operational Resilience Working Group and the production of associated post meeting
  • Supporting the annual assessment of our Important Business Services in compliance with the BoE Code
  • Keeping abreast of the direction of travel across the regulatory landscape and cross industry forums

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in the payments (or related) industry
  • Execution excellence. Commercially focused and pragmatic, including the ability to think longer-term, coupled with fast execution of short-term priorities. Ability to translate broad strategies into specific objectives and action plans
  • Quick learner who can adapt quickly to change. Able to identify opportunities, apply continuous improvement and influence others to do so. This includes the ability to view challenges strategically and keep pace with the demands of the business by anticipating problems and identifying opportunities, then proposing appropriate solutions, devising business cases and providing leadership to effectively implement change
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. The ability to collaborate across peers, functions, geographies and influence key stakeholders up to executive level internally and externally. Ability to foster an environment of psychological safety
  • Experience of working within the field of Operational Resilience, Business Continuity or Crisis Management and associated knowledge
