We're on the lookout for an exceptional Operational Communications Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced management team at Capita. This role will be pivotal in supporting one of our key contracts within our Public Service division.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Reporting to the Head of Communications for our Local Public Service business, you will work alongside and support the contract leadership team to shape and deliver a communications strategy to drive engagement across internal and external audiences.  

  • Measuring progress, impact, and outcomes. 

  • Working closely with our People Team to align plans towards colleague engagement. 

  • Liaising with our client communications lead to align communications and messaging. 

  • With support from our PR and Public Affairs team, helping promote contract achievements externally, and where necessary, plan for and manage risk. 

  • Helping amplify the contract and promote progress and achievements across the wider Capita business. 

 

What we’re looking for: 

  • A strong communicator with excellent writing skills. 

  • Strong Internal Communications experience. (External Communications would also be beneficial). 

  • Strategic communications experience. 

  • Strong stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to manage evolving and competing priorities - an adaptive, flexible, and organised approach is essential. 

  • An operational communications background would be beneficial, though not essential.
