Office Services Operator

Salary: £30,000 per annum, plus company benefits

Location: London, WC2A 3LH

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, shifts are between 7am and 7pm on a rotational basis with 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Williams Lea seeks an Office Services Operator to join our team!

Purpose of role

The role of the Office Services Operator is a key position in providing flexible and responsive services to our client. Demonstrating pride and professionalism in all aspects of customer service, the office services operator will provide facilities and office services assistance to clients and colleagues, putting the customer first and foremost.

Key responsibilities

  • General porterage as directed, moving files, boxes and equipment around the buildings and to external locations (e.g. Courts) as directed

  • Moving furniture and equipment to new locations as requested

  • Assisting with distribution of confidential shredding around the buildings in order to

  • Completion of meeting rooms and location checks. Ensuring that all locations are set up / left in accordance with agreed SLA standards

  • Completing messenger services as directed

  • Distribution of general stationary and general consumable items to storage hubs, cupboards and other locations as directed around the buildings

  • Checking notice boards are up to date

  • Checking First Aid boxes are adequately stocked

  • Setting up meeting rooms and arranging furniture for client meetings, conferences, and events

  • Providing first line maintenance for AV issues. Arranging IT support or engineer call outs for more complex issues

  • Reporting and completing reactive service requests around the buildings as allocated by the client

  • Timely reporting of any defects and / or building health & safety concerns to the client

  • Assisting with health & safety arrangements around the building as agreed e.g. providing first aid to staff and assisting the client as a fire warden with evacuations and roll calls

  • Reporting of defects/building Health and Safety issues and hazards to the client

  • Generally assisting the wider support service as directed e.g., reception requests and / or the completion of internal post collection as requested

  • Assisting the FM Team with new starter checklist completion and issuing of Access Cards

  • Assisting wider Facilities Team as directed in responding to Helpdesk Requests.
