Role Overview:

As an Office Sales Representative, you will act as a key commercial partner for a dedicated portfolio of customers managed primarily via phone and digital channels. You will build strong, trust‑based customer relationships while driving sales performance, coordinating commercial actions, and ensuring excellent service.

This role combines customer management, commercial negotiation, technical coordination, and market insight. You will play a central role in executing the Sales Action Plan, supporting the growth of existing accounts, and identifying new opportunities within your market segment.

If you enjoy a mix of commercial ownership, cross‑functional collaboration, and direct customer engagement, this role offers the perfect blend.

Role Responsibilities:

As an Office Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage a dedicated customer portfolio, build long‑term relationships, and act as the primary point of contact for commercial and service matters.

  • Execute sales actions, follow up on pricing, contracts, forecasts and customer needs in line with Huntsman guidelines.

  • Provide first‑line technical support and coordinate answers to customer inquiries together with the technical support team.

  • Handle customer complaints, ensure proper documentation, and communicate trends to internal stakeholders.

  • Prepare quotations, support forecasting, monitor sales performance and contribute to achieving annual sales targets.

  • Collect and share market and competitor insights and identify opportunities for new applications or product improvements.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Marketing, R&T, Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure smooth information flow and strong customer service.

  • Ensure compliance with EHS requirements during all customer interactions and activities.

Experience and Competencies:

  • Business or commercial qualification; an engineering degree in chemistry is a strong asset.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer‑facing commercial role (sales, marketing or customer service).

  • A self-driven, proactive communicator who confidently manages customer topics end-to-end and takes initiative without needing close supervision.

  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and stakeholder management ability.

  • IT proficiency (MS Office, SAP, SAP C4C).

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑moving, dynamic market environment.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong organisation and prioritisation skills.

  • Understanding of the commodity and specialty chemicals business environment is an advantage.

  • Multilingual capabilities; fluent English is required, and additional languages are a clear plus.

What we are looking for:

  • Self‑Driven Mindset: Operating proactively with autonomy—taking ownership, anticipating next steps, and moving actions forward without close supervision.

  • Creating Value & Achieving Results: Delivering on commercial objectives and contributing to sustainable growth.

  • Decision Making: Confidently managing customer situations and navigating commercial discussions.

  • Relationship Building: Developing trust with customers across diverse market segments.

  • Personal Conviction: Maintaining commercial focus and composure when facing pressure or shifting priorities.

  • Innovative Thinking: Identifying opportunities through new products, market insights, and customer needs.
