Who are Global Client Experience (GCX)?  

Global Client Experience (GCX) is involved in almost every part of the client life cycle. They handle Client Services, Private Fund Services, Shareholder Services, Client Transitions, Client Reporting, New Business & Retention Services (RFP), Business Transformation, and CRM & Client Data Insights. GCX aims to build a global, scalable client service and content delivery platform to keep up with business growth, improve win and retention rates, provide timely and tailored client and regulatory reporting, and deliver a seamless client experience. With a presence in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific, they operate on a global scale. 

 

The intern in GCX will have the opportunity to:  

  • Oversee day-to-day administrative and operational client queries and support the broader servicing team in doing the same,  

  • Act as the contact point for Institutional and/or Wealth clients 

  • Act as a liaison with the business partners across Nuveen, to leverage expertise and meet client expectations and deadlines. 

  • Work on various projects

  • 10-Week Program: Participate in a robust training curriculum, company functions, speaker series, lunch-and-learns, and social networking events for career growth and personal development. 

  • Hands-On Experience: Attend business meetings, deliver presentations, explore business-specific tasks, contribute to projects, and work closely with cross-functional groups. 

  • Global Exposure: Connect with Senior Business Leaders globally across Nuveen and TIAA. 

  • Career Opportunities: Potential to secure a permanent role upon graduation. 

 

What We’re Looking For:  

  • Academic Excellence: On track for at least a 2:1 or higher undergraduate degree (or equivalent), preferably in finance, business, mathematics, business administration, or a similar field. 

  • Client Relationship Management: Experience in building relationships through previous internships, part-time work, student organisations, or volunteer roles. E.g. You should be comfortable initiating conversations with stakeholders, following up proactively, and maintaining long-term connections. 

  • Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise written and verbal communications tailored to different audiences. E.g. You should be comfortable in preparing client ready emails, delivering presentations to a small group of your team or writing reports that inform decision-making. 

  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in team settings by actively listening to others' perspectives, contributing constructively to group discussions E.g. You should be able to adapt your working style to help deliver team goals & objectives. 

  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to understand business problems from multiple angles, identify key drivers of outcomes, and propose solutions that balance competing priorities. E.g. Be able to demonstrate interest in understanding investment principles and how client needs align with product offerings. 

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), with at least intermediate level PowerPoint skills. E.g. You should be able to create professional, presentations with consistent formatting and branding, incorporate data visualisations (charts/graphs) from Excel, use master slides effectively, and deliver clear, visually engaging presentations 

  • Initiative and Ownership: Track record of taking ownership of projects or responsibilities without constant supervision E.g. You should be able to proactively identify problems and propose solutions, ensuring regular communication where appropriate. 

 

Due to high volume of applications:  

  • We will only consider students in their penultimate year graduating in 2027. 

  • We will only consider applicants who have the right to live and work in the country for where the internship is located. 

  • You must be able to work the internship dates of 22nd June – 28th August 2026.
