What you’ll be doing
- Support and maintain Shawbrook’s Cisco Enterprise network stack, including:
Cisco switching and routing infrastructure
Cisco Meraki environments
Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine – AAA / NAC / policy enforcement)
- Administer and support Palo Alto firewalls, including rule management, security policies, NAT, and threat prevention features
- Support and administer the SD-WAN platform (VMware VeloCloud), including edge devices and policy management
- Monitor LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and cloud connectivity performance
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, authentication, SD-WAN, and security-related issues
- Support network changes, upgrades, patching, and configuration updates in line with change control processes
- Assist with network segmentation, zero-trust controls, and access governance
- Work closely with Security, Infrastructure, and Service Desk teams to resolve escalated incidents
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records
- Ensure compliance with security standards, audit requirements, and regulatory controls
What you’ll bring:
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Cisco enterprise networking environments
- Practical experience with:
Cisco switching and routing
Cisco Meraki
Cisco ISE
Palo Alto firewalls (PanOS)
- Proven experience supporting SD-WAN solutions
- VMware VeloCloud experience (highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (OSPF/BGP preferred)
- Experience working in a regulated or security-conscious environment
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capability
- Ability to operate calmly in a live production banking environment
- Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- CCNA or CCNP (Enterprise or Security preferred)
- Palo Alto certification (PCNSA or PCNSE desirable)
- ITIL Foundation (v4)
- Relevant SD-WAN certification
