Job Description

Network connectivity is the foundation of secure, high-performance payment systems, enabling seamless data flow between datacentres, cloud environments, and office locations.

At Checkout.com, our Network Engineers maintain the critical network infrastructure that connects our global payments platform, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity for our merchant solutions worldwide.

We are looking for a Network Engineer who is eager to learn, has a strong technical foundation, and is passionate about working in an engineering environment. You will play a key role in supporting our robust, scalable network infrastructure.

You will work closely with Senior Engineers and datacentre operations to ensure the stability and security of our connectivity. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to enterprise-level networking, cloud environments, and multi-vendor technologies while growing your career.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

  • Operational Support: Assist in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of datacenter networking equipment, including Cisco routers, switches, Fortinet firewalls and & Cloud networking technologies.

  • Troubleshooting: Perform first and second-line troubleshooting for network issues, utilizing monitoring tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

  • Testing & Validation: Support initiatives for network changes and product validation to ensure reliability before production deployment.

  • Implementation: Assist with the configuration and deployment of network hardware and software updates under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate knowledge sharing.

  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external vendors to assist with circuit deliveries, equipment installations, and maintenance windows.

What we’re looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience in enterprise or data centre network operations/support.

  • Technical Core: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, and routing protocols .

  • Multi-Vendor Skills: Experience working in multi-vendor environments (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).

  • Monitoring: Familiarity with network monitoring tools and standard troubleshooting methodologies.

  • Certifications: Relevant Associate-level certifications (CCNA, JNCIA) are required. Professional-level certifications (CCNP) are welcomed but not required.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with firewall administration and VPN technologies.

  • Basic understanding of secure networking practices.

  • Knowledge of Data Centre or Cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure) 

  • Familiarity with scripting or automation basics (Python/Bash) is a plus.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
