The role

Engineering underpins our continued growth and success, and we are committed to recruiting and developing the world’s best Engineers.

The Low Latency Engineering Group at G-Research is responsible for providing and evolving a low-latency platform.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Hands on rolling out of a major new WAN network (various transports, including MPLS):
  • Building
  • Implementing new routing domains
  • Comprehensive testing
  • Onboarding (using automation)
  • Managed handover
  • Support assistance
  • Working with service providers (T1+)
  • Migration of networks
  • Perimeter network deployments
  • Working as part of a strong networking team: managing and supporting trading related networks

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • CCNP minimum qualified network engineer
  • Network design (CCDP) or above a bonus
  • Engineer-level operation and building of enterprise level networks
  • History working with Cisco IOS-XR, Cisco NXOS, Arista EOS routers and switches (one or more of these)
  • Experience building and operating WAN networks: L1 and above, WAN circuit ordering, survey, implementation, migration, testing and handover
  • Using automation for Day-1 deployment and Day-2 network management using Ansible and Python preferred
  • Service provider experience a bonus
  • Work on trading related networks
  • Work on low-latency networks a bonus
