You’re joining a team that’s passionate about building on the foundations of our ‘one-bank’ approach to deliver simple, safe and secure solutions for NatWest Markets, enabling our people, clients and businesses to thrive.
Working in a permanent feature team, you’ll be developing knowledge of aspects of the associated platform across the disciplines of business, applications, data and infrastructure. You’ll also be liaising with principal engineers, architects in the domain and other key stakeholders to understand how the platform works and how it supports business objectives.
You’ll also be:
- Designing, developing and supporting server‑side .NET solutions in a capital markets technology environment
- Delivering backend platforms supporting loans, bonds, structured finance and related asset classes
- Building and maintaining real‑time systems focused on resilience, scalability, and performance
- Collaborating with engineers, product teams and delivery stakeholders to deliver business‑aligned solutions
- Contributing to system architecture, technical standards, and platform evolution
- Applying experience across engineering and product‑focused roles to support effective delivery
- Supporting ongoing enhancement of enterprise systems aligned to capital markets strategy
We’re looking for someone with strong full stack experience in software design and implementation, including being able to exploit programming languages to solve complex problems. You’ll also need to be capable of complex requirements analysis capture and validation against and with business and systems requirements.
Additionally, you’ll demonstrate:
- Strong server‑side enterprise development experience with .NET using C#
- Proven experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including SQL server
- Experience designing and implementing REST and Graph QL APIs
- Hands‑on experience building and supporting real‑time systems
- Knowledge of Entity Framework, ASP.NET Core, and Windows services
- Strong understanding of async programming models and microservices architecture
- Experience working in Markets technology, supporting loans, bonds, structured finance, or closely related asset classes
