Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight:
    • Provide operational financial leadership and oversight, ensuring the financial health and compliance of the organisation.
    • Maintain robust financial controls.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals, providing mentorship and guidance.
    • Recruit, hire, and train finance staff to meet the department's needs.
    • Foster an inclusive, positive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
    • Analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Transaction Management:
    • Oversee the end-to-end process of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
    • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
  • Group Deadlines and Submissions:
    • Co-ordinate and manage the timely submission of financial reports and data to group.
    • Ensure compliance with group-wide financial policies and procedures.
  • Statutory and Fiscal Filings:
    • Ensure compliance with all statutory and fiscal reporting requirements, including tax returns, regulatory filings, and financial statements.
    • Co-ordinate with external tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
  • Liaison with External Payroll and Internal Treasury Department:
    • Coordinate with external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
    • Collaborate with the internal Treasury department to manage cash flow, investments, and risk.

This is a great role for an established Finance Controller with a keen interest in developing their skills and knowledge in a finance consulting environment.
