This role will be an important member of the team behind our platform’s launch and global success.

About the Role

The Head of Global Communications and PR will be responsible for shaping and executing a global communications strategy that supports market launches, drives subscriber acquisition, and strengthens our brand’s presence across key global markets. In this hands-on leadership role, you will dive deep into understanding customer needs, the company’s product offerings, and our brand proposition to create impactful and compelling messaging. This will involve working closely with commercial partners, government bodies, Chambers of Commerce, industry associations, and corporate investors to develop joint go-to-market (GTM) plans that resonate with our customers and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

Global Communications Strategy Development:

  • Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive global communications strategy, with a focus on aligning messaging to customer needs, our value proposition, and product offerings.

  • Craft a consistent narrative that is rooted in a deep understanding of our customers' pain points, desires, and the value our product brings to them.

  • Ensure communications reflect the company’s global growth ambitions and align with long-term business objectives.

Customer-Centric Messaging and Positioning:

  • Work closely with product, sales, and customer success teams to deeply understand customer needs and challenges.

  • Tailor our communications and PR strategies to ensure they speak directly to the pain points and aspirations of our target audience, driving deeper engagement and action.

  • Ensure that our product's features, benefits, and differentiation are communicated in a way that resonates with our target customers and sets us apart in the market.

Market Launches and Subscriber Acquisition:

  • Support market launches by developing PR and communications strategies that amplify our product offerings and drive customer acquisition.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging and campaigns are tailored to specific markets and customer segments, using insights to maximize impact.

  • Develop targeted PR campaigns and content to promote the launch and growth of new products and services, ensuring they are positioned in the most compelling way.

Partnership Marketing and Joint GTM Plans:

  • Collaborate with commercial partners, government bodies, Chambers of Commerce, and industry associations to develop joint go-to-market strategies.

  • Work with these partners to align our communications efforts, ensuring that both parties’ goals are met while driving awareness and subscriber acquisition.

  • Leverage partnerships to extend our reach and drive the growth of our subscriber base through co-branded campaigns, media outreach, and joint events.

Media Relations & Public Relations Management:

  • Develop and manage media relations strategies to secure high-quality media coverage across global markets.

  • Work closely with journalists and influencers to shape and share our product stories and company achievements in alignment with our brand proposition.

  • Write and distribute press releases, manage media inquiries, and work with spokespeople to ensure the company’s story is told effectively.

Thought Leadership and Content Creation:

  • Position the company’s executives and leadership as thought leaders in the industry by securing speaking opportunities, media interviews, and op-eds in relevant publications.

  • Lead the creation of content that speaks to the challenges and needs of our customers, using insights to position our product as the solution to their problems.

  • Oversee the development of white papers, case studies, and customer stories that highlight the success of our product and its impact on subscribers.

Crisis Communications & Reputation Management:

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company in times of crisis, ensuring that our communication remains consistent, transparent, and aligned with company values.

  • Manage proactive reputation-building efforts while swiftly addressing any negative publicity or issues that may arise.

  • Monitor and assess media coverage to identify any potential threats or opportunities for proactive communications.

Internal Communications and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all departments, ensuring the team is fully aligned with company objectives and market needs.

  • Regularly communicate the company's progress, vision, and product updates internally, maintaining strong employee engagement and morale.

  • Work closely with leadership to develop communications strategies that drive employee engagement and support organizational goals.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of communications professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.

  • Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure the communications team is empowered to deliver impactful strategies.

  • Ensure that the team is well-equipped to understand customer needs and adapt messaging and campaigns accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in global communications and PR, with a proven track record of leading teams, driving product messaging, and supporting subscriber acquisition strategies.

  • Customer Understanding: A deep understanding of customer needs, the ability to craft messaging that resonates with diverse audiences, and experience adapting communications strategies based on customer insights.
