Based in London, you'll collaborate with a global team to drive impactful change and ensure our firm remains strong and resilient. As a nature and Social Risk Vice President in Risk Management and Compliance team, you will be at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient. In this role, you will join the global Nature and Social Risk team, focusing on environmental and social risk topics. Based in London, you will work alongside and collaborate with the global team. You will engage in tasks such as due diligence on clients and transactions, setting frameworks on N&S risk matters, supporting regulatory deliverables, and engaging with internal stakeholders on N&S risk topics.
Job responsibilities

  • Undertake N&S risk due diligence on clients and transactions.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies and policies related to N&S risk.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure understanding and implementation of N&S frameworks.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including NGOs and clients, to address N&S risk.
  • Communicate internally about N&S risk, including to senior management and relevant committees.
  • Stay updated on emerging and evolving N&S risk issues and regulations.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in environmental/nature and social risk topics, ideally in banking and financial services.
  • Experience in implementing N&S risk due diligence processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, nature, biodiversity, ecosystems, social, or related field.
  • Understanding of international standards and frameworks such as IFC Performance Standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and comfort with complex information sources.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including communities and civil society organizations.
  • Strong understanding of N&S issues associated with diverse industries.
  • Experience in training and capacity building on N&S risk topics.
  • Ability to translate complex N&S issues into practical business advice.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages (Spanish, Portuguese, German) are a plus.
