Ideally you are an ambitious graduate who wants to work as part of an established Nat Cat and Global Modelling team, supporting SCOR’s global natural and non-natural catastrophe modelling, research and development and tool development for Lloyd’s and non-Lloyds entities across insurance and Cedent FAC business.
Responsibilities
Supporting the natural catastrophe modelling, validation, documentation and future streamline of data analytics
Support the global cat modelling quoting and roll-up processes.
Undertake mini research projects to address areas of vendor model uncertainty and limitations and help deepen our understanding of natural perils modelled. Provide quick effective solutions to models and data issues.
Support studies on the impact of climate change on SCOR's view of risk.
Assist with the global natural and non-natural event response analysis and reporting.
Supporting the analysis and reporting of global natural and non-natural catastrophic events, to support clients, internal analytics and reporting.
Enhancing and supporting the work performed by global property, casualty teams and global experts, with priorities set and managed to provide flexibility to achieve business deadlines and objectives. This will primarily involve enhancing, optimising and embedding processes for global accumulation analytics (natural and non-natural).
Support many other aspects of the team’s responsibilities and processes ranging from supporting the Global accumulations of risks in order to monitor against limits / capacities as well as steer and optimise the portfolio. Includes the supporting development / industrialisation of processes / tools to support these tasks.
Qualifications
Required experience & competencies
Proficiency with MS Office.
Good conceptual and analytical capabilities and the ability to approach tasks consistently, goal-oriented and independently.
- Excellent communication skills and command in English (fluency in either French or German is a plus).
Team player attitude and appetite for continuous learning and achievements in an international context.
Desirable
Excel, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI Python or other programming language skills an advantage.
Required Education
Strong educational track record, ideally a numerical , geographical or analytical degree or equivalent.
