Job Title: National Field Market Access Manager
Job Description:
The National Field Market Access Manager is responsible for developing and executing field strategies to secure and maintain optimal market access of Galderma’s prescription products on public and private drug formularies across Canada. This role, reporting into the Director, Patient Access & Experience, involves working closely with payers, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders to secure and maintain optimal market access by removing access barriers, executing negotiations, driving product listing agreements and advocating for the value of Galderma’s prescription products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Access Strategy Execution: Ability to develop and execute national market access strategies effectively, ensuring alignment with overall brand objectives. Co-develop and execute negotiation strategies and deliver timely product listing agreements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with public and private payers, healthcare professionals, patient organizations and key opinion leaders. Engage with payers to support product inclusion in drug formularies.
- Access Barrier Identification and Resolution: Identify and overcome barriers to market access at national and regional levels.
- Field Support and Education: Provide field-based support and education to healthcare providers on the clinical and economic value proposition of Galderma’s products. Collaborate with sales and medical teams for consistent messaging.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Gather and analyze field data on market access challenges, competitor activity, and payer trends. Report findings to inform decision-making.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launch and market penetration. Provide field insights to support value propositions, pricing strategies, and health economic models.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, payer landscape, and reimbursement processes with 5+ years’ experience in market access, health economics, or a related role.
- 3+ years’ experience engaging with Canadian public and private payers, with proven success in reimbursement negotiations and implementing product listing agreements.
- Strong relationship-building, strategic thinking, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Agile, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Results and solutions-oriented, with a focus on achieving goals and proactively identifying and implementing solutions to overcome challenges.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Canada as needed.
- Bilingual (English/French) is highly preferred
- Experience in dermatology and/or biologics is desirable.
- Minimum of a BSc or BA (science or business preferred), an MBA is an asset.
