Job Description

At JDE we are clear that Ecommerce will continue to play a pivotal role in the growth of the UK coffee category. Over the next 5 years, online sales are forecasted to become the largest contributor of growth to both the category and to JDE. At JDE we are clear on how we unlock this opportunity and as result we are recruiting a online grocery account manager to help implement our online strategy within our grocery channel. As our Online account manager, you will be responsible for helping bring this strategy to life for our Top 4 retailers online, as well as working in parallel with our account teams to execute a fully omnichannel approach with our customers.

Reporting to the Ecommerce Controller, you will primarily be part of the Ecommerce Team, which forms part of the wider Sales function. You will also work closely with our Top 4 customer teams to ensure we align both our online and in store customer strategy.

Primary goals and objectives

  • Work closely with the Ecommerce Controller to deliver our online executional strategy across our top 4 retailers.
  • Ensure we win at the digital shelf through brilliant content basics such as MOI, Lifestyle imagery, Video content & flawless taxonomy for all existing products as well as our exciting range of NPD.
  • Be our go to expert for online activation to ensure we are getting the right balance between shopper spend and paid search to maximise our ROI.
  • Create and develop an online executional plan in conjunction with our top 4 commercial teams to ensure an aligned in store and online strategy linked to JBPs and MWBs.
  • Manage the full year online executional plan for each top 4 account with the support of shopper marketing, brand and account teams to deliver BIC execution.
  • Unlock further online commercial opportunities to drive incremental sales.
  • Be the online expert within the top 4 account teams to ensure upskill our account teams and increase wider knowledge on how we deliver BIC performance online.
  • Drive profitable growth, both for JDE and our Top 4 retailers, to help grow our online share ahead of instore.
  • Be the go to expert with our customers to help build their online long term strategy.
  • Work alongside Digital Marketing and agencies to execute sponsored search to drive visibility & sales.

Qualifications

Required Experience and competencies

  • Graduate caliber
  • A good understanding of digital media
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within FMCG account management (Online preferable)
  • Online account management experience necessary
  • Able to demonstrate self-starter / entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience in unlocking new relationships / partnerships
  • Good relationship building skills
  • Able to build their network and can engage others through clear communication
  • Experience in the delivery of a JBP
  • Knowledge of retailer systems such as DH
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint
