Managing day to day, in quarter, running of the New Computing account(s), it is the Account Manager’s role to broaden SEUK’s points of entry into sales channels and increase Samsung’s standing within the account- maintaining relationships and driving new business opportunities. The ultimate goal is to significantly grow market share to current business aspiration delivering upside both in terms of volume and value and ensuring operational excellence!
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities

Working closely with all functions across the business, internal partner for all account specifics (finance, account payable and receivable, supply chain, Group, etc) to ensure account performance and delivery.

Ultimate responsibility for all marketing and sell-through activity within the defined channel including compliance and channel specific activities, coordination and briefing. Developing programmes across retention and acquisition channels, and associated budgets.

Monitor, meet and exceed the agreed business plan to deliver stated financial targets within the account (volume, value, ASP and consolidated profit) and drive market share goals.

Ensure that all relevant information is regularly communicated within the account team and the wider business. The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving and influencing overall goals and targets.

Detailed analysis of the customer account including but not limited to: Sales by channel and weekly market share position, Switching and retention performance, TCO & RRP pricing, Key customer initiatives and programs, Renewing base size, Store level sales and traffic data where appropriate and Competitor tariff and positioning information (where publically available)

Build the consumer quarterly commercial terms plan in relevant product categories, building & delivering the account strategy and negotiation. Support with closure of commercial and marketing terms payments at the end of the quarter.

Attendance of weekly sales and supply chain meetings, raising issues which affect customers and SEUK strategy and being heard as the voice of the customer.

Preparation and attendance at quarterly account reviews ensuring actions are progressed and actioned.

Support in delivery of annual strategic plan, including performance tracking.

Working with the Product Manager, Product Evangelist and GTM team, responsible for core portfolio ranging selection within account and co-ordination of product launch activities within channel.

Weekly ownership for Supply chain management and forecast management (AP1) including forecast accuracy (8 weeks) and purchase order cover (4 weeks). Awareness and attention of full account including B2B and B2C split.

Holiday cover for relevant team members

Establishment and maintenance of sales operations procedures to improve efficiency provide potential cost savings and increase sales. This includes the management of the customer demand plans and forecasting.

Relationship management skills including to Exec level, an experienced negotiator.

Experience of developing insight and data led strategies

Extensive retail execution experience and a strong understanding of the UK consumer electronics industry, Operator and or Retailer knowledge highly desirable.

Strong financial competence including forecasting, modelling, promotional effectiveness, return on investment. Strong excel skills.

Experience working collaboratively both in teams and as an individual

Confident and eloquent communicator
What does success look like?
Success in the first 6-12 months will be broadly based around growing in-house share within the key accounts within your remit.
You will need to identify where and how to grow share in different segments of the PC market and develop relationships with buying, marketing and merchandising teams (customer-side) in order to do so.
You will also galvanise support internally to gather the backing to progress your strategic direction to achieve these goals
