Description

Bou is a new-school brand company for those creating something novel, radical, or flat-out weird. We’re currently hiring, and the following description is our best shot at portraying our next marketing team member.

Working at Bou
When joining Bou, you'll work directly with our 200+ brands, ranging from early-stage companies to more established brands, universities, and nonprofits. And we really do mean directly – we don’t have key account managers or pure strategists at Bou. You'll join an all-hands-on-deck team building brands through marketing, communications, design, and web development.

Your daily tasks
Our next design team member will most likely have experience in motion design and 2D animation, bringing brands to life through movement. Your typical days include tasks like animating logos and brand elements, creating engaging social media content, editing videos, and designing motion for presentations and other brand materials. You’ll also contribute to visual identities and other graphic design tasks, working closely with designers, marketers, writers, and developers.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a brand team, collaborating across domains to ensure cohesive and high-quality creative work, shaping how brands move and interact.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of design experience – You have a portfolio showcasing motion design work, and involvement in brand identity projects and digital design projects.
  • Strong experience in motion design – You’re a natural when it comes to 2D animation and editing, and are eager to develop your skillset whenever possible. You might even have dabbled with 3D from time to time.
  • Client communications and project management experience – You're confident in presenting work directly to clients, and communicating your design thinking. You keep a cool head under pressure, and can give and take candid feedback well.
  • Quick to understand new industries – We build brands for a great variety of products, services, and companies – from mobile games and quantum computers to electronic performance cars and new textile materials.
  • Working proficiency in English – It will be your first working language as we work with several international brands and communicate in English within our team.

Benefits
  • Occupational health care – Extensive occupational health care (Helsinki office)
  • Competitive salary and lots of opportunity for professional development
  • Flexible work – Feel free to work from home or the office.
  • Birthday as a holiday – Paid one, of course.
  • Lunch vouchers – Lunch deduction through our service provider.
  • Phone subscription
  • Professional growth – Opportunity to join a growing team of professionals that won’t accept anything less than being world-class.
